Tonge moor green jacket Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 The lawns should come back. Look at some of the places in America. Doing what grass does during drought. Quote
Jol_BWFC Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Grass still green at the back. Will be in big trouble when the inevitable hosepipe ban arrives. Quote

Not in Crawley Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 Just driven to Canterbury. Still too hot. Be lovely if I was on the beach, but otherwise its sort of a dessicated, deathless sort of heat. Partched and in need of some freshness. Quote
Not in Crawley Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 What a fucking wally. Just tried to use a car wash in Kent. Funnily enough, wasn't working. Quote

Usually down in Ramsgate or Whitstable if it's nice. Sandy Beach is great there (the rest is pebbles) but you need to be there eaither first thing or late in the afternoon as the beach is completely covered at high tide. Or Hythe if we fancy going posh. Quote

Folkestone in parts has really changed and had a lot of money put in in. I'd certainly be happy to move there, something I wouldn't have said when I first moved down. As I'm getting older, quite like the idea of Kent countryside, just as the kids are begging us not to move as they like us being in London! Quote
