Fairly certain no one is arsed, but we're still buzzing so I'm telling you all anyway.  We got incredibly lucky, thankfully! Weather was spot on and it properly set the tone for a perfect day, co

Absolutely no chance. Playing with the big dogs here cocker.

I'm like Madge off Benidorm covered in gravy.

I know its hot and loads of folk are idiots but fuck me im sick of well meaning types coming on the tele or the wireless telling us how to survive in the heat.

depths of winter here

20-25 degrees, clear blue skies

though to be fair there is a chill during the night and in the shade

Hope that is consolation on fixture release day. 😉

Only heard about some that couldn't cool them down sufficiently. Presumably they didn't have AC- have there been others with it and still closing?

Both grandsons schools closed yesterday (Weesthoughton High and St Michaels primary in Athy - which is closed until Monday

Good job we're not at war, we'd be asking for hydration breaks

How it has flipped with the Net Zero extremism.

Been listening to whining fuckers interviewed on the news. The same ones who go and lie on Southern European beaches in it for two weeks every year.

I wonder how some of us manage to survive two and half months of extreme temperatures every year? Here come the 'we are not equipped' excuses.

When Aussies used to call us whingeing Poms I used to give it back twice as hard. Seems they were just a few years early.

There's a huge difference between being on a beach in Southern Europe and having to go about your day to day activities

Having to work, clothes you wear, not being able to lie on a deck chair etc

It would lead to a cataclysmic event that would outweigh the asteroid that wiped that Dinosaurs.

Fire would rage across the planet and burn anything in its path including the raging seas.

Does this type of heat make gingers smell even worse than they usually do?

Crikey

Won’t need to set the alarms.

Great storm here will be with you around 4 am

Blimey!!! That was intense. Passed over the top of us around 6.00/6.30. Accompanying monsoon was more than welcomeIMG_5736.jpeg

Yeah but but but it was hot a couple of times since 1905.

Thinking our climate isn’t changing is just another attention seeking position taken by folk who don’t actually understand anything unless a screechy Twitter account tells them how to think.

Bleddy M6 must have delayed it

Current lightning strike rate for the UK, including just off the NE Coast, is 456/minute.

Barmy.

Hottest May and now June dates in (at least) the last 60 years now recorded this year. Clear rising trend as well. Yet climate change deniers still won’t admit the effect of human behaviours. Where their evidence climate change isn’t happening?

IMG_3008.jpeg

Folks may have seen this yesterday. A prediction from 2014 of the effect of climate change in France by 2050.

We’re already there now.

Fossil fuel companies, the politicians they bribe and Joe Public who won’t change their own behaviours should hang their heads in shame. You’re leaving a complete mess for your kids and grandkids.
