Fairly certain no one is arsed, but we're still buzzing so I'm telling you all anyway.  We got incredibly lucky, thankfully! Weather was spot on and it properly set the tone for a perfect day, co

aye. I've heard similar. Britvic too

Went out with the dogs last night and felt a few tiny droplets of rain.

That apart there's none in the forecast, some farmers are now struggling; milk yields are dropping and barley is scorching in the fields.

Ale and bread to go up in price?

When are we going to get some rain- I'm going for the day England come home from the world cup.

1st Saturday after the kids break up I reckon.

Rain on charts in about 10 days. Fingers crossed.

Long range predictions are generally worth nowt.

Long range predictions are generally worth nowt.

Correct, generally utter drivel them type of forecasts.

I just go to The Gonch for a 48 hour prediction, which is as accurate as anything you get on the news!

There'll be no rain until September according to Mum.

Also, shes confident that Christmas Day will see us under 4 foot of snow and frozen sea at Blackpool.

She's always right.

Aye Warburtons are making crumpets again thank the fcuking lord

I was told yesterday that the long range weather service used by farmers suggests little rain until september!

You know what, I didn't think people really ate/enjoyed crumpets until quite recently. I always put them in the same category as malt loaf, which I find to be rank as well

Although, having said that, I never have butter on anything, and these two foods always seem to be dripping/covered in the stuff, so that's probably why I don't enjoy them

Peasant.

Crumpets are the food of gods and must be laced with butter.

It's just a shame most toasters don't come with 6 slots.

You were right about my lavenders TMGJ, I got back from holiday fearing they would have pegged it.......they've gone absolutely bezerk, they're fucking massive!

Sadly, my Fushica's are dead as fuck

Don't be afraid of giving your lavenders a good prune to stop them going leggy.

That website has info. It was quite interesting to see how it's harvested; nothing too delicate.

Bastard pricey though- for an artisan product.

Oh and one little fact you might or might not know is that Dean Holdsworth is/was a massive fan of lavender plants.

I prefer a potato cake to be honest but do enjoy a crumpet.

You can control the level of butter on a PC but crumpets just gobble it up so you keep spreading then bite into it what has become a buttery sponge

When I lived in Chorlton a few years back there was a lad who rode round on an old style bicycle selling crumpets from his bike.  Only in Chorlton but fair play for the idea.   No-ones beating the boiled spud van on Bury Market though

Mrs loves em, we have loads.

Supposed to help you sleep - must say that I quite like the smell of them but haven't put a bunch in my pillow case . .  yet :)

I'll be hacking into them once the flowers have died off!

Stick with me brother sweep.

I can predict the weather by sprinkling a bit of sand into the shallow tide.

Anyway don’t listen to Gonzo on the weather; he thinks it’s to do with star signs
