Fairly certain no one is arsed, but we're still buzzing so I'm telling you all anyway.  We got incredibly lucky, thankfully! Weather was spot on and it properly set the tone for a perfect day, co

Every time you talk of folk going to work in Australia, I remember your posts like this.

Bush fires on the news the other day, now a storm has caused flooding in Sydney.

Where is the safest part? :)

My brothers massive 'ute' apparently came in mighty handy getting the parents to the airport for their flight to Hong Kong. Tropical storms and what not delayed the flight.

All of it! Just don't live in forests. Not only will you avoid most of the nasty creatures but you and your kin are unlikely to have all of your worldly possessions (or worse) consumed by bush fires.

Anyone who thinks that Australia isn't a safe place to live is either incredibly naive or suffers from some sort of exaggeration syndrome.

As far as 'flooding' is concerned (it's gone in a day BTW), you don't get them in the UK now do you? How many flood plains do we have throughout England alone? Just watch how many are reported over the winter months. Very rare down here.

Not for me then, no point in relocating if it cant be to a more countrified place. :)

Flood plains will soon be gone- they'll be housed over or underwater permanently. Or both.

CO2 rules.

In all seriousness though, I couldn't be doing with 40 degrees.

Summer just gone was too warm!

I couldn't cope with the missus screaming every time she saw anything small move or fly within 10 yards of her.

They print something about long range weather every year. Promises of "Hottest summer ever; Coldest winter ever" It stands to reason that one year the papers will be right.

Well we certainly won’t be seeing any snow for the foreseeable until we see a change in wind and the jet stream moves

Shitty south/west winds all next week, which only means one thing. Damp, windy and a shed load of bollocks.

Much like this week.

Gonna need that jet stream to do some funky shit and the wind to switch north/north east pretty sharpish for a white Xmas.

It’s always worth having a gander east across Europe to see what it’s doing there.

Saw the weather lady this morning and was surprised at just how much she said they weren't sure from midweek onwards.

Are they now favouring the fronts getting here after the cold and some white stuff?

It’s changing by the minute. Only thing thats sticking is a dip in temps. Big frost on wed/Thursday.

Gale force winds from the east were predicted for Friday but north west escaping them for now.....

I’ve said it before but any forecast for longer than 3 days away is totally pointless. Especially this time of year.

proper hate December.

Latest comments from BBC weather lady: models showing the potential for some proper winter stuff from the east toward the end of the month.

They're having it rough in eastern Europe at the moment too.

It’s been dumping snow up here in the Alps for the last couple of days and forecast to keep snowing for the next 10 days, it’s moving northward so it is definitely on it’s way to Britain.

Yes, doesn't the snow have to stop at the first country it gets to just like the asylum seekers?

It’s definitely got all the same hallmarks of last year :(
