If that's the case if we get off to a good start with away fans we could be getting 18-20k

Beltin start already that. Glad fans are turning out given our circumstances,

pity so many are on discounted deals

lots on 11 quid a season tickets

even more on 49 quid ones

even if gate receipts hold up, income from gates is bugger all in the scheme of things

how much will the tv money drop compared to the drop in the wage bill

Its not so much the income from the gate receipts as alluded to, its the fact that hopefully we

won't be playing in front of a half empty stadium.

it wont be the st holders we'll be missing, it'll be the bloke who decides on the day.

on the other hand, they wont be able to watch in the pub.

i'd be suprised if we see a single 20k crowd

That's the spirit! There are 4 games I could see 20k crowds if were doing well, blackburn, burnley, sheff wed and Leeds. Maybe huddersfield as well.

Have to disagree with not a single 20k crowd Leeds, sheff weds and burnley to name a few will fetch 5k

Aye, there is probably as many teams that would bring 5k in the championship as do in the prem!

Still nearly 2 months before season starts and over 11,000 sold, can't see any reson why we wont sell up to 15,000 , which would give us quite a few over 20,000 gates.A few decent signings will obviously help.

it aint a dick measuring contest

crowds mean fcuk all when your finances are like ours

if we did get promoted, we'll need to spend millions to stay up

i'd be quite happy with 5k on every week if barclays were paying us 3 million a game

really?

i'd be astounded

I think that is one reason why we will keep our fan base numbers - the fact you could watch damn near every game in the Flying Fuck and various other pubs kept hundreds, if not thousands away from the actual match

You really don't believe that do you

I do, I'm one of them.

Last few seasons I've had to weigh up which experience I preferred. Pub or link won nearly everytime for various reasons.

Now my options are go to the match, or dont go to the match.

And which one will you choose?

The way I see it is folk watching in the pub have already made the desicion not to go, links and streams made seeing the game a possibility which was a bonus, a small minority may return to the reebok but they won't return to watch us play Barnsley in January

Not one 20k crowd - bollocks

Why exactly would we have to spend millions to stay up? To guarantee staying up maybe but not a pre-requisite is it see most of the 12 years we did stay up and Swansea, Norwich, Wigan, fulham etc etc etc .........do u work for talk sport?

So coyle still gets his sad little pathetic disciples following him even after he's fucked us right up.

I definitely believe it. Look at the attendance for our last few fixtures last season, against 'smaller' teams no less. I'm sure ticket offers played a part, but just before the Blackburn game the ruling was made and pretty much all pubs lost the right to show all but 1 PL game (which was never Bolton). Wasn't coincidence that our attendance against Swansea, West Brom etc was higher than I expected

We'd never heard of him when we played Darlington in 1985 but there were still 42,902 on.

It doesn't matter who wears the shorts and claps.

I'm the same. Go to the game, have a drink, have a laugh, enjoy it. Stay at home saying, that'll show them. Either way it's about personal choice, and I'm happy with mine.

Edited by no balls

I can not remember the song going "I am Bolton till I die, er unless we get relegated"

So is the travel club off now then?
