August 19, 201213 yr Ok break it down, Pratley was tearing up trees at Swansea, before his contract dispute, Andrews was scoring for fun at Ipswich on loan, Mills was captain of Leicester before his fuck up with the argumentative cunt that is Pearson, what I am saying is these players played important roles, ok collectively not relevant for this thread, but all said players had a role, and all did well, then Coyle took them on, the rest is history, Coyles team of management will shortly become a joke once the cunt has been banished. Exactly, it lies with the management. Doesn't matter who we sign if he cant lead or manage them, we're fucked. BSA started Jussi for The Spammers yesterday, will be interesting to see how he performs.
August 19, 201213 yr Exactly, it lies with the management. BSA started Jussi for The Spammers yesterday, will be interesting to see how he performs. Better than he would at Bolton under OC I expect. We all know BSA is a top quality manager but we wouldn't pay the package needed to keep him.West Ham would pay the money and so have better quality in the dugout for now.
August 19, 201213 yr Just one more thing I'd add. Coyle's post-match comments : "In this league there is a real appetite and work-rate". You don't say, Owen; who'd have thunk it ! So why does he send out a work-shy soft-as-shimarshmallow set of players who expect/want to be left alone to play pretty football for 90 mins. and can't handle anything else. None of it makes any football sense.
August 19, 201213 yr I was hoping hed learnt from last years mistakes Ream playing ahead of mills was just unforgiveable. I wish the fans forum was this week and he was asked to explain the decisiom as any other answer than mills had some sort of slight injury and were fucked.
August 19, 201213 yr That hurt!! It really fuckin hurt! Zat knight, take a bow! The rest.... Well, the rest!!!
August 19, 201213 yr That hurt!! It really fuckin hurt! Zat knight, take a bow! The rest.... Well, the rest!!! It hurt the fans but did the players show real hurt and desire to put it right? Not once in the lead up to the match in the press said that this game was going to be a big big battle or that he expected our players to have to roll up there sleeves and sweat for the cause, Allaryce Would have used all the tools to fire up the players Coyle has no idea to fire up and get them ready, just shitty platitudes trying to defuse the Burnley fans what a nice man he is. Edited August 19, 201213 yr by Mounts Kipper
August 19, 201213 yr Soul destroying !!! Individually we have better players than Burnley, but they were a much better team...better organised, fitter & harder working. All last season's problems are still there & we had the usual like for like substitutions but still no sign of the famous plan B.....it was all depressingly familiar & once we were a goal down I never thought we were going to come back. The only positive I could come up with was the performance of Knight, who not only played very well himself , but also did a good job covering for Ream.
August 19, 201213 yr I can accept getting beat by a better team but won't accept getting beat by a shit team who showed more effort and commitment. Coyle reckons we have 2 players for every position - well play the fuckin lot of them of Tuesday and bollocks to yesterday's tripe
August 19, 201213 yr One thing I noticed after watching TFLS, is how easy we gave the ball away when a simple pass was on, very worrying indeed. As shit as we was the got lucky with both goals. This one game won't decide our season.
August 19, 201213 yr One thing I noticed after watching TFLS, is how easy we gave the ball away when a simple pass was on, very worrying indeed. As shit as we was the got lucky with both goals. This one game won't decide our season. This is a continuation from last season. One of the biggest problems we have had was our inability to find a white shirt. Our powder puff mdfield are not strong enough to break away from a challenge and although we have two wingers we rarely use this outlet to widen the pitch and thus stretch the opposition midfield. I agree about the goals upto a point. Poor defending, though, directly impacted this and allowed them to get lucky.
August 19, 201213 yr We are fucking terrible. In literally every position we had superior players to them, yet we were so unorganised and clueless that it was painful. I put the sole blame on Coyle and his useless backroom team, what the fuck they've done all summer I do not know. I knew nothing had changed when I saw K.Davies on the team sheet, he should be used as an 'impact sub' at very most. If he starts the next match then there is no hope what so ever, and as for leaving a player that signed for us this summer that clearly wants to be here on the bench (Mills) for an utter carthorse cunt that decided to stay when he realised that no other fucker was daft enough to sign him (knight), its unforgivable. Im not one for being over the top but I would be ecstatic if I saw that Coyle had been sacked this morning (I know its not likely). I don't give a fuck 'who would do a better job' because the answer is literally anybody. Anyone with an ounce of footballing knowledge would get this team promoted with ease, he won't! Different season, same old shite.
August 19, 201213 yr Wigan 0-2 down the Chelski after 5 minutes. Little comfort, I know. Ha ha. I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling churlish and smirking
August 19, 201213 yr great day... woke up at blackpool north station at midnight! not a clue how managed to make my way home safely. had a million missed calls off my wife,...she was not a happy bunny today! cant remember fuck all after singing bruce rioch and colin todd with birch and eyes right. my mate pete has broke his hand... even the ale hasnt worked today,to kill the hangover... bollocks to the football.
August 19, 201213 yr Bumped into Pete on way back to train station lets just say he was well oiled! Good seeing everyone there shame we won't have a following like that again this season

August 19, 201213 yr Was a completely wash out!! However there were two positives for me. 1-Coyle for the first time ever, left one up front when defending a corner 2-zat knight managed to actually have a great game

How was playing Ream ahead of mills unforgivable, considering Mills has yet to play anything other than a friendly?
August 19, 201213 yr How was playing Ream ahead of mills unforgivable, considering Mills has yet to play anything other than a friendly? Well hes played at this level more than Ream that's irrelevant though. The last game of pre season against Barca he played a back 4 of mears, knight, mills and rickets That should have been the back 4 to start the first game in the league he swapped mills for Ream I would even accept it if he plays the same 4 on Tuesday against Derby, if thats what he believes is the best 4 he wont though he will swap ream for Mills stop fucking about about play your best 11 and let them gel this was the number 1 mistake to learn from last season i will hold my hands up and admit im talking shit if the same back 4 play on Tuesday

August 19, 201213 yr stop fucking about about play your best 11 and let them gel The impression I got during pre-season is that he doesn't know what his best 11 is, especially at the back where there were any four from Riley/Mears/Mills/Ream/Knight/Alonso/Ricketts with no real pattern emerging, so it's little wonder that there isn't much of a partnership developing between centre backs etc. Midfield pretty much picks itself given the lack of options, and that's before we get on to his obsession with KD.
August 19, 201213 yr indeed the shitty boozer near the train station in till about half 9, you were going to come through to another shitty boozer in brig but went awol on your own in Blackburn
August 19, 201213 yr I seriously have no recolection of being in Blackburn whatsoever! these blackouts are happening more and more on sessions...think its an age thing! I had to ask the conductor where I was when he woke me up! haha Edited August 19, 201213 yr by gonzo
