June 17, 201610 yr Still feeling grim after a 10 hour session yesterday. Done absolutely nothing all day today. Stone Roses tomorrow but the plan is to stay pretty sober
June 17, 201610 yr Managed a 12 hour session which included watching Tyson Fury serve himself behind the bar Boozing?
June 18, 201610 yr He was boozing and wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't a bit more too I reckon he'll pull out and retire
June 18, 201610 yr He was boozing and wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't a bit more too I reckon he'll pull out and retire He'll fight, but he'll lose.....and he won't give a shit
June 18, 201610 yr He'll fight, but he'll lose.....and he won't give a shit Reckon the fight might be off...loads of tickets left and there's been a few whispers. Few stories like this out a out Tyson.
June 28, 201610 yr In this In or Out referendum I'm definitely in, I've had 4 tramadol so I'm hoping I feel better by breakfast
June 28, 201610 yr majorly in Thank fuck I won't be having any more Vardy bombs And pints of Peroni are the devil
June 28, 201610 yr It's catpiss, Jules... The Italians give it a swerve over there. I read an article somewhere years ago how SABMiller or INBev or whoever makes the stuff had given up on Stella as a 'premium' brand because of all the 'wifebeater' connotations and the fact supermarkets were flogging it for 60p a pint, anyhow, it went on (the article) how they had purposefully earmarked Peroni to be lined up as it's successor - just for the image alone. Peroni is bad for hangovers as it's not real beer, it's not made from plants, it's made from chemicals, by sick bastards. Kronenbourg 1664 is bad too, wine making countries make shit beer, fact. June 28, 201610 yr InBev makes Stella. SAB Miller makes Peroni. InBev's proposed takeover of SAB Miller may include the sale of Peroni to Asahi.
June 28, 201610 yr They all make piss... I can't find the article, it was a 'trade' type publication and old though, 2008 perhaps, but it was definitely about how one of the booze conglomerates was 'grooming' (urgh) Peroni to take Stella's 'reassuringly expensive' market share, since Stella had gone downmarket and was seen as one step above Frosty Jack...At the time Peroni on draught was rare and those larger bottles (600ml?) weren't seen around, if they even did them at that stage. Anyway, they were going to push Peroni because of it's image and nowt else, it really is shunned by lager drinkers in Italy, who sup German or Danish stuff, including the wonderful Ceres. As an aside, I used to drink Lech, years ago, always thought it was similar tasting to Grolsch - anyway, that's been bought up and UK Lech is now made in Holland (alongside Grolsch probably) and it's piss these days, like UK brewed Becks is an' all (piss). I'm a real ale twat now. Edited June 28, 201610 yr by Youri McAnespie
June 28, 201610 yr Most of the 'foreign' beers aren't brewed in their country of origin to be sold over here. I always check before buying that it's the real stuff and not some brewed under license shite.
June 28, 201610 yr Zubr is the best mass produced lager imo. 6% too, hits the spot for al fresco bus shelter supping. £1 a can at the Kurdish shop on Lever Street (formerly The New Cabin).
August 14, 201610 yr I'll be expecting to see a few in here today! I'm surprised I'm the first! Somethings crawled into my mouth & died last night! Off for a full English, that'll sort me out.
August 14, 201610 yr I'd suspect White Shirt is very much in wonder if the bottle of rose he was brandishing on Kingston Rd post-match got finished off
