Bolton 0 Crystal Palace 1

Even though yesterday was a decent performance and the tide seems to be turning,I think next week's game is trickier than people think. Palace have got some decent young fast players in their side and will have to be paid special attention.

For that reason, injuries permitting and not falling out with Coyle during the week,I'm going for the same side as yesterday with the exception of Marcus Alonso who has to be replaced by Stephen Warnock.

I predict 16,709 spectators to witness a very entertaining 3-3 draw, and Marvin Sordell to watch it in the Vulcan.

Neil Whatmore,Dusan Nikolic and Taddy Nowak for us,with Geoff Thomas managing a hat-trick on his deathbed.

I don't think our players are as bad as some are saying, I just think they want him sacking too.

Dunno where I'll be yet ............... sh*t fan fed up of sh*te football.

Got the result wrong, the score wrong, the crowd wrong .......... but beltin decison to go somewhere else instead of the Reebok.

While this sh*t football continues under Coyle, it's just a waste of time & energy.

Season ticket is well & truly at the back of the drawer.

Me.

Chin up folks, no other teams pulled away from us today, we'll still finish top two.

Today wasn't that bad, we got mugged.

Unlike many I had no complaints after the Watford game and I felt we also were the better side at Birmingham. Can't agree on yesterday though, they made best use of the ball and the best chances. They certainly didn't mug us.

Although we didn't play well we were better than Palace whose onlly threat was Zaha.We had chances and should have won the game. IMO the penalty was a joke, Palace players went down all game at the slightest contact. So between the ref and their players they mugged us.

He's a dick

Face the truth

2-3 palace, last minute winner for them sparking mass booing from people already in scotts.

who remember our fans swapping shirts with theirs in esl corner??....

Heard Palaces chairman on the radio the other day,he was going ape shit about wigan...basicly saying they are a bigger club.

I remember (and was there) for the shirt swapping. I'm a Palace fan, but have had a bit of a soft spot for Bolton since that day :)

Yesterday could have gone either way. It was a penalty IMO but I'd have been miffed if it had been given the other way. But 9 times out of 10 that would be a foul outside the box so on those terms it has to be in the box too. Still, soft.

Good luck (except at Selhurst!) for the rest of the season. Still think you'll be there or there abouts at the end.

Kind words mate, and welcome aboard.

However, you've been lucky enough not to have seen Owen Coyle pick our teams out of a tombola drum for over a year.

Good luck for the season.

I agree. I thought we completely controlled the game but without carving out any clear cut chances. Once we got to the edge of the Palace box we looked clueless.

I quite like Freeman as a Manager, but yesterday he set his team up to frustrate, waste time, and essentially play like a set of girls. Players only hit the deck with that regularity if they are instructed to, and it was sad to see. Worse than a lot of Premier League sides.

We didn't do enough to win the game yesterday, but Palace had no intention of trying to win that game and were gifted a soft penalty.

Part of me sympathises with OC. To a large extent, I thought we looked balanced and organised yesterday. He seems to have addressed the defensive frailties from earlier in the season, we look a lot more solid through the centre and Spearing and Warnock both look good signing. But he badly needed a result today, largely because after the result at Wednesday this could have acted as a springboard. I still think we are only 2 or 3 good results from turning things around, but you can only have so many false dawns before the fans and the players stop believing in them anymore. For me personally, that game came yesterday and he should go if we get anything less than 3 points on Tuesday. That's my take on it anyway.

Also, I've heard a few people complaining that he didn't bring Lee on till after the goal. To be fair, Lee was stripped and stood on the sidelines ready to come on before Zat Knight gave away that penalty.

We were by far the better side.

Our 'strikers' couldn't finish a fish supper.

You can't play Davies and N'Gog at the same time, pick one or the other to play alongside Sordell/Afobe.

Either the running and work rate of N'Gog or the strength and experience of Davies.

Perhaps if we shot once in a while rather than going for another pass we might do better.

Zaha is fucking amazing, how he's still at palace is a mystery.

Exactly the same here. BBC put final score as 0-0. Spent the evening bemoaning another poor result in only getting a draw at home against a team we should be beating. Woke up this morning to find out it's even worse than I thought.

My nephew did the logging for the BBC watching the Sheffield Wednesday game. When we scored he put down the details with WHAT A DING DONG DO at the end :)

I agree about the ngog and davies thing frank, the thing with ngog is he holds the ball up well looks to play people into the game but he has scored 3 maybe 4 goals since signing. Its all well and good being a target man to get players around him creating and scoring chances, but don't play with with another target man deary me.

i also agree with this and have to say its a bit of a mystery why you would put 2 target men in the same team. its not like we have a pile of speedy midfielders driving through to pick up the knock downs or flick ons. other than eagles there was no-one else up there.

otherwise I agree with people who say we largely controlled the game without creating many clear chances.

althought mark davies created a great chance that was unlucky 2nd half, kevin davies was a whisker away with a header and there were a few skirmishes in the first half.

palace had their chances so probably unfair to say we were mugged but we were right at the side of the penalty shout in west lower and he went down like a jap sniper got him. proper dive, shame really as he was their best player. theyve had 5 pens apparently already this season.

yup i concur

one or the other (skd or ngog)
