Do any of you remember a lad of Indian descent who used to run with the Wanderers lads in the mid 1970's,initials MF ?

M still lives and works in Bolton, and very well known indeed, but stopped going to the match esp after a certain incident and being best friends with the accused

He's given me a whole stack of pictures and original newspaper cuttings from those days,i may upload some but some might not be in the best taste, and out of respect for others

one pic which may be ok to look at is available on Blackpool's Muckers site, section 'Darker Stories'....on that thread, scroll down to the end and there's a couple of acceptable pics from Bloomfield Road,1974

I was there but can't remember.

But at http://www.grandoldt...79-Burnden-Park someone says:

Yes he collided with George Wood. Bolton played in ther away shirts (Red) instead of white and an orange ball was also used

George Wood nobbled him

The pitch was a white blanket that day and it was snowing through the first half somewhere in the back of my mind says we played in red shirts.

surely there must be a picture somewhere of that game in the archives

In black and white...

Defo in red, I rememeber sitting in the Lever End asking my dad why we where in red.

We were in red because of the snow.

right,i've pulled a flanker and rang my uncle who's very good mates with a Wanderers player from that day. Red is the colour, trying to get a pic

Must be an old programme at the following game showing pics, i still stand by that they played in white. I remember walking to Tyldesley Labour Club that day after having a party at my house, the parents where in Blackpool. I got laughed at because i only had a pullover on and no coat in the labour club and it had just started snowing like fuck outside. Four of us got a taxi to BP and going through Daubhill was a white out. Score was 1-1 when it got abandoned, and the scouse cunts got snowballed to fuck outside.

You're reet MK, we went to Studio 1&2 and watched a porn film, it was full of Bolton fans and the dirty mac brigade, we actually ruined their afternoon, there was total fucking uproar in the cinema as we were singing all the football songs

I remember that was the game of the bouncing snowballs, 3 of 4 of them came over from the bin dippers that were golf balls with snow packed around

Had a good chat today with JB from Hambleton, who some of you know.

He always gets down memory lane,I fuckin love it.

He was telling me of a trip to Newcastle he went on with JC,Forest amongst others, around the mid 80's.

Rochdale were on their way up to Hartlepool and made the unfortunate mistake of Bumping into the Bolton lads at a services.

Any of you older boys on that trip?

We used to wait for the away fans to come out of the embankment and mingle in as they walked up manny road as we got to either of the 2 bridges the Bolton chant went up amplified by the bridge not many away fans hung around long then it was the long chase back to trinity street station they had to run the gauntlet all the way up the road must have been a night mare that walk/run for loads of away fans, every game for years and years the same routine, great days.

Soft Blackpool cunts.

From my recollections, they didn't enjoy it much when we went to Blackpool either!

Just read the whole thread, many memories of cracking games. First game stood up without my dad was Keegan's first season as player, Burnden Paddock was fun that day.

Anyone go to Peterboro in early 90s? Police told us after match to leave pub as we were in the 'Lions Den'. Looked round & realised full of Bolton, had one of best nights following BWFC topped off by 15 or so of us missing last train & sleeping rough / in DSS hostels etc.

My favourite story regarding Blackpool was how they did us one Boxing Day  (Miami knows of what I speak), when they met us off the train etc etc...funny thing was, there was no Boxing Day train service and I remember some coaches arriving at a certain pub and no one wanted to come out to play, or lets say they took a peak outside and decided that the weather was too inclement to play properly..them lot live in a cloud cuckoo land permanetly

Remember a mate from Atherton getting a right crack in the face when we played Blackpool in that 3-0 defeat after the game in 76, he said " fucking hell I'm a Bolton fan " Sorry pal I thought you was a Blackpool fan with having ginger hair.

I was in that pub Kitey mainly full of LH and Walkden lads, kicked off at last orders we parked at a rockers pub on the outskirts of Peterborough twin centre couple of our lads got nicked for putting the pub windows in with beer barrels. Isaac hunt did one of the best singing in the rains that evening even one rough local bird joined in showing off her threepenny bits.

That would be the day some Bolton went into their pub early which was then attacked by another group of Bolton thinking Blackpool were in. I don't think Blackpool made an appearance at any point.

Remember her, seemed quite up for it. At one point landlady gave in & just let everyone serve themselves. Went in the year after, only a few of us & all soft at that but everyone very wary of us
