Mounts Kipper Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Just had a look at the fullback from Burnleys profile he signed for them when they sold us Mears he was at City from 9 captain of the city youth team played for England at various levels born in Bury how and why did we not look at bringing him into our club when he was surplus at City instead we took fookin Dosy dedrick. RUREADY2ROLL Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 From where I was sitting most of the singing of that song was coming from towards the middle of ESL. I was sat there yesterday and it was coming from around that area - didn't see anyone singing it near us though It wasn't just that singing that annoyed me - it was the cheering when Eagles name got called out for his substitution. Granted he has been shit recently and completely awful yesterday and he needs to sit on the bench for a few games, BUT he was good early in the season and has talent - cheering like that is only going to make him worse. Tossers who cheered Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I fucking loved that yesterday i hate those cunts, followed by just about every Bolton lad at the Bear's 40th made for a belting day Saw you on the grass bank gesticulating at the Burnley fans part of me was hoping they broke though the police cordon then reality kicked in as was holding my 8 year olds hand so I scuttled off to the Tesco car park. jules_darby Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Just watched the highlights on iplayer Couple of things not really mentioned much Although Pratley worked hard yesterday, as ever and I thought he was our best midfielder, he had double contribution towards their goal - that touch was awful that led to their attack and the corner and his man headed it back across. Not sure the criticism of Spearing for his challenge is fair; looks like he was on the post and the man who scored was supposed to be marked elsewhere - by Chungy I think.....could be wrong though SKD's contribution twice for our 2nd goal - winning the header from the throw and them the volley across; he can still be of use. Dare I say another impact sub at this level mixing it up when they're tired? Quote

Davies can play a part all be it last 20 minutes not giving him credit for the volley across as it went straight to there player who cleared it to Spearing. Quote
kent_white Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 KD did well after his introduction. DF seems to like us to play the ball to his feet more often and let him play with his back to goal. Played a couple of lovely balls through to the more mobile CD and Ngog. Quote

It was poor Mounts, but him being there and panicking them is the positive H wins things and its a different dimension Like the FSA days when we scored goals in the second phase from balls in; not because of technique, but because balls drop to us around and just outside the danger zone For that to work you need players that will challenge, win balls and make them panic Quote

Dare I say another impact sub at this level mixing it up when they're tired? Spot on Jules. The days of him labouring alone upfront from the offset are well gone. But if hes happy coming off the bench and barging folk about and creating chances for others, then that will do for me. Did exactly the same as well as scoring at Wolves last season. He still has his uses the man. Quote
Brookie Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I was disgusted by the cheering from most of the crowd when Eagles was subbed. In particular a group of middle aged clowns sitting in the ESL near the join with the NSL gave him dog's abuse throughout the match. For me, Eagles did OK; he wasn't great, but he isn't the type of player that will always be great. Anyone who claims to be a fan and screams abuse at their own players should just stay at home, or go in the Flying F***e and scream at the tele. When I've paid good money to watch my team, I don't need morons abusing them right next to me. Quote
darrener Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Think this is what most wanted to see all season he has started far to many games. Ngog sordell & craig david look like they have goals in them. Would like to see a goals per minutes played table for our 4 strikers if anyone is sad enough Quote
Salford Trotter Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I just can't see DF dropping ZK, isn't he the team captain in SKD's absence?? Quote
Garrp Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 He plays ahead of Ream for me different story when Wheater and especially Mills are back though. Quote

passmosster Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 In regards to the negative commentsand ridiculous chants....empty vessels(or should it be heads) make the most noise Trouble is that it's like giving the away team another player. It's gone the rounds, " Keep Bolton quiet till half time and the home fans will start to get on their backs". Quote
DaisyHWanderer Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Still quite a few tracksuit wearing scrotes in the esl corner (south), but there seems to be a lot of young casuals this season. Quote
pato Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 it used to be half an hour when did we learn patience? Quote
gonzo Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Trouble is that it's like giving the away team another player. It's gone the rounds, " Keep Bolton quiet till half time and the home fans will start to get on their backs". A Burnley pundit hinted at simlar after the game on Radio Lancashire last night. He said 'We missed the chance to gain an advantage in the second half with atmosphere going the way it was' Quote
DazBob Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I was in the WSU quite close to the North Stand yesterday and it seemed most of the booing and "You don't know what you're doing" was coming from there. Aren't most of the £10 tickets allocated to the North Stand, meaning you get more of your part-time, casual fans in there than in any other part of the ground? Just thought. Regardless though, it was embarrassing as fuck. Must admit, I was amazed Eagles wasn't hauled of much earlier than he was. He's really struggling at the moment and needs to be rested for his own good and that of the team. Thankfully, as it turned out, the substitutions worked out perfectly. I just wish our simpleton fans would judge Dougie retrospectively, rather than thinking they know better at the time. Anyway, looking at the results below us, that was a huge 3 points. More of the same at Forest please. Quote
Rembrandt Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 It's gone the rounds, " Keep Bolton quiet till half time and the home fans will start to get on their backs". It's not new and it's not just at Bolton. It's what (some) football fans do at all (or nearly all) clubs and always have done. Get it in perspective, for fook's sake. And it's not rocket science. We've fallen from over-achieving top-half of the Prem to 3 points above the relegation zone in the Championship in a short time. Of course the opposition managers and fans know that nerves and impatience will be affecting us, Forget the minority of booing fans. Let's conecntrate on what's happening (and not happening) on the pitch. Rant over. It's a lovely sunny day and I'm off to a family picnic. I'll be back in the cold & gloom soon enough ........... ............ and that's just the Reebok. Quote
