Casino Posted February 9, 2013 Author Posted February 9, 2013 He's closed the circus, so that's a good start for me! Now he just needs to remove some of the clowns who are still hanging around. what do you know Quote
gregbwfc Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 At the moment,no. Not really to do with Doug, more the fact that we can't put out a team capable of keeping clean sheets. A manager is obviously a big part of any success or failure, but I still think if you don't have the players it's tough. Really do want him to do well though and hope he does. Fingers crossed. Quote
White Shirt Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 He's closed the circus, so that's a good start for me! Now he just needs to remove some of the clowns who are still hanging around. I'd go along with that I can see Doogie's plan and I can see it working Just hope some of our fans give him time and don't hound him out. It's gonna take a few transfer windows to sort this mess out Quote
Guest bwfcdan Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Love Dougie. Next seasons gonna be brilliant! COYW! Quote
jules_darby Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 This "hounding him out" is the biggest fucking nonsense and most annoying repetitive shite Who was hounded out exactly???? Quote
tomski Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Shall we start a Gillingham friday night roll call of the back of this? I'm in! Quote
Ani Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 This "hounding him out" is the biggest fucking nonsense and most annoying repetitive shite Who was hounded out exactly???? Megson was a shit cunt but he was never a chance by a lot of our supporters. Quote
White Shirt Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 This "hounding him out" is the biggest fucking nonsense and most annoying repetitive shite Who was hounded out exactly???? I should have said I hope the fans don't get on his back and give him time. A few people I have spoke to already want a change. Negativity breeds negativity, it didn't work under Megson, it didn't work under McCleish at villa etc Quote
waffer cup 07 Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Megson was a shit cunt but he was never a chance by a lot of our supporters. He was'nt interested in tring to get them onside either. Quote
Danny G Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 He's closed the circus, so that's a good start for me! Now he just needs to remove some of the clowns who are still hanging around. How many clowns do we still have? I assume its the big earners who nobody wants. Whatever happened to the Fat Kitman? Quote
jules_darby Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Megson was a shit cunt but he was never a chance by a lot of our supporters. Chelsea fans don't want Rafa It's clearly their fault they lost at Newcastle Quote
Garrp Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Chelsea fans don't want Rafa It's clearly their fault they lost at Newcastle they're also fucking idiots. As Ani said, Megson was a cunt, a massive cunt. but he was booed to the hills upon being introduced to the reebok crowd against Braga they were also cunts so them and megson can both go in the same category for me cunts it was fucking ridiculous Quote
jules_darby Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 If they didn't boo him would megson have left us in a non-relegation spot? Quote
Garrp Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 If they didn't boo him would megson have left us in a non-relegation spot? if you want to go down that route, we might well still be playing premier league football no one knows no one is saying the booers have put us in our current position they are part of the problem though, however big or small you dont seriosuly think that booing has no effect whatsoever? Quote
jules_darby Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 No But I think Megson's "treatment" was negligible He was sacked because he was shit He wasn't hounded out by the fans Its lazy bullshit Quote
Horwich Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 How many seasons did he manage at Palace? Quote
pato Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 But I think Megson's "treatment" was negligible He was sacked because he was shit He wasn't hounded out by the fans Its lazy bullshit Spot on his name is shit at almost every club he has been at and you don't get clubs queing around the corner now that he is available Quote
captainmed Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Freedman is wrong club, wrong time. The table doesn't lie and he has made a poor start. That said, we need stability and he talks a good un. We badly need the talk to stop and the action to start. The jury is still out for me but I really hope he succeeds. Quote
campo'swig Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Methods, ideas and ambition he ticks the boxes for me but results are what matters.Jury out for me but want him to succeed so we can stabalise. Quote
Rembrandt Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) DF seems to have a medium/long-term plan, and he might be successful with that. Time will tell. Short-term he's not getting the current players to perform sufficiently to win enough games, though he's still got time to change that this season. I would definitely think that the club cannot afford this season to be written off in favour of longer-term if it meant relegation again ........ and we're dangerously close just now. Jury out for me but obvbiously I want him to succeed.. Edited February 9, 2013 by Rembrandt Quote
frankietheman Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Jury's out for me. I'll judge him on results and thus so far way off being convinced. love to be wrong tho' Quote
beer_swiller Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I aint convinced one bit, and his philosphy doesn't inspire me to be so. He got lucky today, why does it take the side to go a goal down for Freedman to make a sub. Quote

superkev Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I aint convinced one bit, and his philosphy doesn't inspire me to be so. He got lucky today, why does it take the side to go a goal down for Freedman to make a sub. They scored in the 55th minute. You don't get many managers making subs that early in the second half unless they are losing. Quote
beer_swiller Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 He only makes substitutions when we go a goal behind, good fucking job burnley scored as early as they did. Quote
