Zico Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Saturdaywas a big tick from me. I think he knows he's got it slightly wrong for the first hour, looked at what it was that was wrong and changed accordingly. He's had a successful plan B. It's fucking refreshing that we have a manager capable of doing that. we'll see he did the same against Cardiff in his first game, though till now I thought it was a one off Quote
White Shirt Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Good article here about his fitness company http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2281032/Dougie-Freedman-Focus-Fitness-UK-scheme-helps-young-footballers.html Quote

anewman Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 why did he start with donkey? on the plus side lonergan has to start satdy Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 why did he start with donkey? on the plus side lonergan has to start satdy I think it was good decision to play K. Davies as C.Davies worked his socks off upfront at Barnsley I was Suprised he lasted 75 minutes though, we now have a fresh Craig Davies for Saturdays game. Quote
DomRepWanderer Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 why did he start with donkey? on the plus side lonergan has to start satdy Not often you come up with something sensible, but agree with Davies starting was just wrong, and Lonergan was immense. Quote
frank_spencer Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I thought KD did ok. Nothing more nothing less. Playing in the championship is a squad game when games are coming thick and fast. Quote

gonzo Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I am impressed with his substitutions Every one has a major impact I'd like to see the stats on his substitutions going on to win games etc. Theres been fookin loads. Quote
jules_darby Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 I thought KD did ok. Nothing more nothing less. Playing in the championship is a squad game when games are coming thick and fast. I thought he was poor last night, but do agree with DF's current rotation policy. It could easily backfire as N'Gog has had 3 different starting partners in 3 games, but we won them all, so it's doing the trick. I do like the defence playing together more often than not though - even if we don't look completely rocksteady, I thought overall defensively we dealt with Blackburn well last night. I'd like to see the stats on his substitutions going on to win games etc. Theres been fookin loads. There does appear to be doesn't there, which is refreshing. Those impact subs eh I was surprised that he took Pratley and not Chungy off last night as DP was more effective IMO and he's physically stronger - CYL kept getting knocked off the ball by them, but he's paid to make those calls and it obviously worked effectively as we won. I also thought he timed Craig Davies' appearance very well. Quote
Traf Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 It could easily backfire as N'Gog has had 3 different starting partners in 3 games, but we won them all, so it's doing the trick. So N'Gog must start. He's the constant in the equation Quote
DazBob Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Reet, I've had a think and even though it was a gamble playing K.Davies, it was a gamble that worked. As said, games are coming thick and fast and it'd be a bit naive to expect to be able to play the same XI for every single game and still get 3 points from each of them. We're unbeaten in 7 and won 4 on the bounce so who are any of us to question what he's doing. Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Courtesy of Bbc Bolton manager Dougie Freedman: "I know it's an old cliche but I'm not interested in what's up or down. "I said that a few weeks ago when a few people were questioning me about relegation - I thought they were crazy. I didn't think it was a question I should have had." Quote
