  • You honestly think he got lucky that both of his substitutes scored??   Fuck me.   Are you this negative about the club all the time because the club shop refused to sell your book??

  • I'm optamistic he'll do well, only gripe I've got is not going for it more, at times, against poorer teams and not getting the 2-3 goals we need to win because we are   just not keeping clean sheets

  • I'll go off results, thanks.   So far they aren't good enough.   The same shower who reckoned that Megson was the greatest ever Bolton manager are getting behind Freedman.   It doesn't inspire c

Should it not be one of the best examples? JSL.

In the sense that, of all the examples of intellectual ineptitude I've read on here, this is the worst.

Either way, you get the drift hopefully.

Got the drift, I'm just being a pedantic nob ed this morning.

Not read the Muamba book what was the essence of Muamba's comments.

Megson lamped him during a half time team talk, but he was too decent to do owt back. Apparently Nobby Nolan would give it back when Ginge went off on one, and Megson would then back down- no wonder he was playing shit and left.

Megson is a bully- you can't expect to motivate folk by ranting/punching them!

Megson punched muamba?

Megson punched muamba?

Dear me.....

Someone should make a complaint to the Police. That'd be a shame.

Outraged of Bolton

Can we now blame muambas heart condition on mugson? Just a thought

Dear me.....

?

Based on the results so far i've voted no, however it may be that he can turn it around, I certainly hope so.

Sorry, bit I'm struggling to understand some of the logic on here.

So DF was good because he made substitutions that turned the game. But his starting line-up was mystifying in the first place and we played crap for an hour. Is that it ?

Would it be possible to pick his best team to start games & get a grip on the game from the first whistle, and then only change things for fresh legs or if things don't work out in a particular match ?

Has he had long enough not to still be fiddling around with his starting 11 ?

Maybe I expect too much logic in all this.

The jury is still out for me. I'll judge him at Christmas.

?

I meant dear me at the behaviour Gary Megson.

Clarity of posts has not been my strong point this morning.

I think he's great. If we stick by him for the next 5 years then I have no doubt what so ever that we will be in a far far far better position both on and off the pitch.

There's no quick fix to the amount of damage that Coyle caused, I've seen and heard enough already to know that Dougie will slowly but surely turn it all around and I'll be able to say I told you so to all the short sighted/unrealistic/wind-up merchants/genuinely thick fans we've got.

I've just been browsing the book again.

Muamba describes the Megson rant:

"I remember on day he tore into me at half-time when we were playing at home. We were in the dressing room and he fired up, rolling the cuffs up on his short, which he always did when he got angry. I didn't think he was going to punch me, that's just what he did..."

Upon re-reading that, it believe I mis-interpreted what Muamba was meaning, and that no puch was actually thrown!

Apology offered if the ginger Mouinho is watching.

He's still a bullying cunt though

Elmamder said much the same about Megson as well, just used to shout and swear at him in the changing rooms if he thought he was playing shit

Fair to say coyle got the best out if him, when he played him in his corect position

I think many fans have forgotten that we are supporters of the team and that means enthusiastically backing and driving the the team forward I think it's today's modern fan lost the meaning of supporting the team, it's a sad and symptomatic of society in general its all about me me me these days society's buggered.

Yeah I reckon so!

we've been spoilt when we've been punching above our weight

back to reality now chaps, and the good old days

I'm not particularly enjoying going to the match at the moment but he's only just arrived, to judge him now is a joke... Walsall away big sam out comes to mind. United fans tried to hound out Ferguson. It looks like he's trying to make us hard to beat which isn't a bad start for anyone. Like a lot of people I think I overestimated the quality in the squad, his new additions should start to make a difference plus Holden. We're kidding ourselves if we don't think we are in a relegation battle, that's his first test.

Is your phone broke?

I'm trying to liken this current period to the 92/93 season when Rioch came. He made a couple of signings and it took a while to gel. ( 3 wins, 2 draws and 6 defeats).

2-2 draw at Chester (Mrs Ratwhites first "day out" shopping in Chester, that turned into a "blimey, Bolton are playing in Chester, should we have a little look........moment)

Anyway we all know what happened from there (with the team, that is).

Think DF will do the same in his own time.
