Wanderers 2 Blackpool 2

Blackpool fan in peace. We have been given an allocation of just 2,305 for our last fixture of the season.

http://www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/news/article/ticket-news-bolton-wanderers-765947.aspx

Considering we took 4,000 to Blackburn, we would expect around 4,500 to travel to Bolton. I know our away stand is small so perhaps you are returning the favour, but is there any reason why the allocation is so small compared to the Premier League game?

Thanks in advance.

No, we're not a particularly big club when compared to many. But when compared to Blackpool, yes, we are. If we finish 8th this season, our current position, that'll be our worst league placing since

in stark contrast, know a lad who was at Huddersfield Barnsley

2-2 and with 5 mins left Barnsley are going down, if they got a goal, Huddersfield are going down, getting edgy

few minutes later Peterbrough are losing, and both teams are safe

so the keeper just dribbles the ball round his own box for a few minutes, no one closes him down, some players sit down!

all whilst the whole ground sings "yorkshire"!

Was he a Season Ticket holder? Otherwise I don't believe it

fwiw, he was a neutral, Macclesfield fan, in attendance with one from either team

Yorkshire = inbred

which fukcing clown started a rumour near the end btw? seemed to emanate from móng corner too.

Massively seething at that, got our hopes up in the West Lower.

As I was sat above Móngo Corner, the fact John McGinlay and everyone near him were going mental meant we presumed that, as they have a TV then, it was 3-3.

Why the fuck did Boggers not go up, when he was asking if he could?

Because losing the match guaranteed we were out, whereas drawing left open a possibility of qualifying if Forest equalised.

So not appropriate to leave the goal open to a shot from the centre circle.

Hindsight is brilliant isn't it? We needed to score - FACT.

i got told it came up on the screens as 3-3 then reverted to 3-2 so mongo corner may be off the hook

Somebody said Forest had a goal disallowed... Don't know if its true or not... Haven't checked

Gillette soccer?

If so, they are back on the hook

i dunno

Being a #shitfan, I was watching the last few minutes of Soccer Saturday in the bar.

Forest didn't have a goal disallowed, but they did have a decent chance right at the death when Cox shot into the side netting.

Booo.

Cox out.

No. We needed to not concede. Scoring was desirable, but a bonus until the other match was definitely over.

Dazbob likes this.

No. We knew the other game was 3-2. So we needed to either score or hope Forest score. It would be insane to pin all your hopes on the later.

just as it would to play without a goalkeeper. It is only appropriate in cup games, or where there is no downside risk.

I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one, though.

Not really when there's a league table to say, categorically, that we finished 7th.

How often does a team score when they throw the keeper up ?

How often do they concede when they do ?

If there's no real advantage in sending the keeper up, it makes sense to keep him back.

We did keep him back and are nt in the play offs.

So if he had gone up......

we probably still wouldn't have been in the playoffs ?

Apart from where sky sports and bbc have commentators actually at the games they get their info off live updates from the press association who watch the games. Know someone who works for the press association and the words piss up and brewery spring to mind

Once they knew of that Leicester winner! I would have gone shit or bust and let him go up.Maybe that,s why I,m not a Manager?
