Surely you'll be in the Directors' box?

  • It's a gimmick, end of.   I'll be in Burnley, but I don't think I'll bother paying around £30 to enter that shithole of a ground. Few beers around Burnley early doors, watch the game in the pub and

Why don't they charge 2d and give everyone a free pipeful of opium?

It's cost the club £30k to release all tickets at £12.50.

Might be worth it to save fans being pissed off.

Might be worth a few emails to people at the club to see if anything can be done.

I'd be pisses off if I didn't get a £12.50 ticket and be tempted not to go considering its on tv.

Poor decision IMO.

Got mine so no reason for me to kick off but agree with everything you say there mate, other than getting the club to cover the cost for others. Who is subsidising the tickets?

Looks that way. Few people on twitter refusing to pay £28 when others have got in for £12.50

I don't blame them when it is on sky - I am very much in 2 minds

I would have thought that it's the Football League who are subsidising the tickets since it's their celebration.

Can't see BWFC stumping up £30K to appease those who didn't get the discounted tickets but i agree that it would have been better to allocate them in a ballot of all those who applied. They would have sold more for a start.

That said, i don't really understand the logic of those who were planning to go originally and now aren't because they didn't get a cheap ticket. It's not going to cost more than you were originally expecting to pay.

fcuk me

we really do have some whining bastards

I managed to get 10 at £12.50, happy with that

I've only got 6 confirmed though, hopefully i'll able to shift a few on the day

I agree with Smiley, that Ryan's probably fibbing.

But if he's not, I'll take a couple for me and my lad.

Wouldnt have thought its cost the club anything - surely the bill is picked up by the FL as part of its 125 year celebrations

Sorry it was supposed to read it'd cost the club £30k for a discount on the remaining seats.

Worth it to the club IMO.

I bought 50 at £12.50, now does anybody wanna buy a Burnley ticket for 20 notes :-D. As long as blackburns a cheap day i'll b content.

Burnley have still got plenty left:

Is this down to poor advertising (not enough people knowing about it), or are so many people so disillusioned with the club that they aren't even willing to pay £12.50 for a derby match, which is also the first game of the season? I honestly thought these would have been snapped up in no time, even if the game is on Sky.

I gather most people don't like sitting in the jimmy mac lower (I think this is right) so are just bypassing the offer. Saying that their crowds were dipping sub 10k, perhaps even less come the end of last season.

No sub 10k league games at Turf moor last season.

The bulk of attendances were however in the 11.5 to 13.5k region.

Did find it humorous that they said they weren't arsed about Bolton and then it ended up being one of their highest crowds of the season.

Sure there were a couple 9k gates, oh well I stand corrected.

I hate agreeing with you, but for once I do.

Also it is right that they have all gone to season ticket holders.

I wasn't planning to go anyway, so I can agree with you there,.

:icecream:

To be fair later in the season we'll be getting cheap home tickets, the season ticket holders should get something, if they didn't get these cheap tickets it'd only end up like the carling cup final and somebody who never goes getting a cheap ticket

It should be a discount for all or for nobody, otherwise it just causes people to feel hard done by.

That said, I got mine for £12.50 so I'm happy enough with how it's worked out

Are they the same folk who go on holibob and ask every fucker there what they paid?

Anyone who feels hard done by needs to get another hobby. Cassie's reet.

Spot on analogy that. Always get the impression such folk are determined to moan and not have a good time.

Got ours @ £12.50 and i couldn't give a flying fuck what anyone else has paid and if you've paid £28 tough shit

£28 isn't that bad anyway. Sure we will get stung for far more than that at times this season

think it was ipswich and leeds which was £30+ the rest £25-£28 last year, yes its not that bad but being on sky makes a big difference.

Anyone know of any minibuses to Burnley from Leigh/Atherton?
