August 14, 201313 yr The A6 linking Adlington to Horwich has been the destination of some horrible incidents in recent years. Hopefully the thorough work done on it will save lives. Belmont during winter isn't safe in the slightest.
August 14, 201313 yr The roundabout at Junction 18 of the M60 is one of the most dangerous places to be in your car. The amount of fuckwits who cannot understand a simple lane system is staggering. It's clearly marked (and the tarmac is even coloured) which lanes go where ... yet so many folk simply try and dive into your lane, whether you're in there or not, despte the fsact they were in the correct lane already. I'm sure BCG will agree with this. Tru dat. Lots of horn bipping every day.
August 14, 201313 yr Top end of Westleyth they have a road junction officially named 'Dangerous Corner'. It's on maps and all sorts. Not just a local thing. It's presumably to remind people that's it's dangerous, in case they forget. It's not really dangerous at all, a cow probably got run over by a horse and cart or sommat in seventeen eighty whatsit and the name stuck. It fucking is dangerous. Needs leets or a roundabout. Apparently there are not enough accidents there to make them do anything. My vote is for the bit of the M8 just at Glasgow city centre. Of how many roads can it be said that arriving traffic enters into the fast lane and in other spots you exit off the fast lane too? Edited August 14, 201313 yr by Maggie Tate

This FACT was brought to you in association with Mike Hunt's Interesting Facts.

Fuck mop. A bloke who lists "Kabul" as one of his places of work reckons dangerous corner is dangerous? You need to borrow one of the company tanks.
August 15, 201313 yr that daft roundabout in Leyth at Twist Lane/Atherleigh Way is a bit dangerous as well, I've seen loads of bumps on there. Anyway, it's all dug up at the minute, so I presume they're sorting it out now

Only three days a month in Kabul, still with the Helmand hardcore the rest of the time, but in both places the drivers share with the good people of Northern Ireland not a fucking clue how roundabouts work
August 15, 201313 yr You might not be surprised to hear that since they're ripped up the magic roundabout and covered it with fencing cones signs and half tonne lumps of Tarmac, the traffic runs free and no fucker has been killed.

August 15, 201313 yr I hate to state the obvious here but every road mentioned is perfectly safe provided EVERY driver sticks to the rules.
August 15, 201313 yr I hate to state the obvious here but every road mentioned is perfectly safe provided EVERY driver sticks to the rules. Ok then, look at it this way, Tufty Club member of the year, why make a road more complicated than it needs to be?
August 15, 201313 yr I hate to state the obvious here but every road mentioned is perfectly safe provided EVERY driver sticks to the rules. Bloody hell Micky, you're sounding like Keith Laird.
August 15, 201313 yr That short run on from Lancaster heading to Cumbria on the M6 used to scare the shite out of me, you would be going downhill at 70 in the slow lane, and getting tankers coming out on a slow crawl uphill in front of you. Cant be altered because of the River Lune.

Anyway, it's all dug up at the minute, so I presume they're sorting it out now That roundabout is a nightmare at the moment! Coming from my office on Leigh Rd to get too the lancs is taking me 30 minutes of an evening!! Some fuckwits were driving straight through the middle of the roadworks the other day!! Saw 4 near misses in the space of a few minutes!! But I would say the M25 is a dangerous place!!
August 16, 201313 yr Driving over Shap on the M6 whilst snowing can be treacherous. Back in '91 it took me 10 hours to get home from a Christmas do, others heading over to Newcastle had to take shelter in a pub for 2 days on the A69..they were gutted
August 16, 201313 yr Seen the layout of that new junction in leyth, and by Christ it's complex. Think the through-about at the end of the m602 mixed with the dehavilland way, middlebrook junction. Edited August 16, 201313 yr by frank_spencer

My vote is for the bit of the M8 just at Glasgow city centre. Of how many roads can it be said that arriving traffic enters into the fast lane and in other spots you exit off the fast lane too? Jnct 25 at Bredbury, to go north anti clockwise on the M60, the entrance road delivers you straight into what is effectivly lane 4 , then becomes lane 3 as lane 1 disappears. slow entering traffic is a nightmare there because lots of traffic in lane 3 before the junction are still bombing along at 80. that said it's well marked out but some of the things witnessed there as nervous folk who just wont drive to speed or in the fast lane, try and cut over is frightening.
August 16, 201312 yr Seen the layout of that new junction in leyth, and by Christ it's complex. Think the through-about at the end of the m602 mixed with the dehavilland way, middlebrook junction. It looks like the scalextric layout you always wanted as a kid but could never afford or manage to create without a saw and superglue
