Dangerous Roads

Featured Replies

Sure this has been done before, But what are the most dangerous roads you've been on?

I'm currently doing a job in Worfield Shropshire, I have to get from the workshop in Chester, We go down the A5 it's a lunatic road, yesterday Air Ambulance was landing and we got stuck in traffic, not surprised with how folk just overtake and weave in and out its full if nutters that road!

Anymore for anymore?

That A road from the M56 to Wrexham.

Fucking bedlam.

There was a crash on it every day I used it.

Some fucking dirt track the taxi driver was doing 80 down during Zozzy Tours Bulgaria leg.

A483 that's part if the journey too!

Bury Road, it's one of the busiest roads in the country apparently. Full of workers

M6  by Knutsford services. Always accidents there.

A9 between Perth and Inverness. Beautiful backdrop but there's always fatal accidents on it.

Usually due to impatient drivers behind caravans/lorries etc and its busy enough for insufficient gaps to overtake

Aye, the driver told me he was using the back roads because all the loony lorry drivers use the Motorway.

Deane Road,

horrendous, I try to avoid it.

Slack Fold Lane in Morris Green.

used to use it to cut through to Highfield regularly, but the kids have started to use it like a race track, avoid at all costs these days.

Not as bad as where all shops and daft bus lane are.

That said not a day goes by where I don't yell obscenities.

Argh Derby Street that bit, that's where I meant. I've had better road experiences in Jakata.

The roundabout at Junction 18 of the M60 is one of the most dangerous places to be in your car.

The amount of fuckwits who cannot understand a simple lane system is staggering.  It's clearly marked (and the tarmac is even coloured) which lanes go where ... yet so many folk simply try and dive into your lane, whether you're in there or not, despte the fsact they were in the correct lane already.

I'm sure BCG will agree with this.

The A695 from Carlisle to West Cumbria was and probably is like Russian roulette. I travelled it every day for a year and witnessed some horrendous accidents and at least twice a week saw a very near miss with my own eyes.. And was involved in a few.

Some complete psychos on it especially on a Monday morning as Sellafield workers make their way back to work after the weekend back home

I used to work in Prestwich and concur

Top end of Westleyth they have a road junction officially named 'Dangerous Corner'.

It's on maps and all sorts. Not just a local thing.

It's presumably to remind people that's it's dangerous, in case they forget.

It's not really dangerous at all, a cow probably got run over by a horse and cart or sommat in seventeen eighty whatsit and the name stuck.
