September 18, 201312 yr Author With the Sat, Day, Travelcard, I thought you had to specify which train you were traveling down on. Having a quick look this morning it seemed like they were only still available on 05-55 & 06-10 trains, but i definitely could be wrong. You've no problem getting the train to & from St Pancras because you'd be covered by your travelcard at least as far as London Bridge anyway. yes you have to specify going down people think its open both ways,we've had this before they will only let you go on another train time if you had problems with a connecting service and you was late.

September 18, 201312 yr up there for thinking owd man just need to weigh it up now - we must have time to walk to st pancras rather than tube to london bridge it's only half a mile.
September 18, 201312 yr up there for thinking owd man just need to weigh it up now - we must have time to walk to st pancras rather than tube to london bridge There are a number of possible distractions between Euston and St Pancras though! I'd definitely go to St Panc, much easier given you can get the train the whole way to Brighton from there
September 18, 201312 yr yes you have to specify going down people think its open both ways,we've had this before they will only let you go on another train time if you had problems with a connecting service and you was late. I got told it was an open return by the train manager on the way to Charlton last season. I thought you reserved a seat on a set train but you could get any there or back.

September 18, 201312 yr i've got 16 minutes to pancras or 34 to Lb pancras is less messing Is it not an open ticket from St Pancras / London Bridge to Brighton with 3 or 4 trains an hour to choose from ?
September 18, 201312 yr I got told it was an open return by the train manager on the way to Charlton last season. I thought you reserved a seat on a set train but you could get any there or back. Thing is.....if you could use these cheap tickets on any train, nobody would ever buy one of the much more expensive tickets on the same day, which is probably what the train companies would prefer us to do.
September 18, 201312 yr i've got 16 minutes to pancras or 34 to Lb pancras is less messing Easy brisk walk to St P, there's a walking route from the back of Euston that takes you to St P avoiding the Euston Rd, that'd save you some time. And I'd check which part of the station the FCC trains go from - I think it's the back, downstairs.
September 18, 201312 yr yes you have to specify going down people think its open both ways,we've had this before they will only let you go on another train time if you had problems with a connecting service and you was late. They have changed it, you now have to specify the train time both ways on the day travelcard, the return ticket now has a time on. I don't know about the train to Brighton I had to specify train times for those as well, it is only a 5 minute walk to St Pancras so think we will follow Casino and the AHM.
September 18, 201312 yr if its an super off peak day return with capital connect you can get on any train where that ticket is valid might be supping at london bridge at 5pm
