Ngog and lee are so far ahead of feeney and danns in terms of pure footballing ability it's laughable.

But it's up to them to prove that.

We're in serious danger of becoming team of work horses.

Folk moaned at megsons agricultural football methods but at least he purchased players with talent.

Freedman is very rapidly losing my vote.

The lack of movement and basic attacking threat for the most part today was nothing short if disgusting.

To be fair, we were in the Prem when Megson had us, easier to sign a better quality player.

 

Anyhow, I stayed in and watched the Great Escape.

Ngog looked pretty good apart from his final touch, he improved midfield.

Like BD said that first 75 minutes honestly had me contemplating the way I spend the majority of my Saturday afternoons and the rigmarole I have to go though just to get to the game.

 

It was dire.

 

But one of our chances bobs in during the final flurry and it all forgotten about.

 

That's just where we are at,at the moment.

 

It does alarm me how much we lose the battle on midfield,I don't think that's down to lack of effort,it's down to not having a single player that can put his foot on the ball.

 

We crying out for mark Davies.

 

As for the rest,if we don't score a stupid own goal...we win 1-0.

 

Same as Yeovil.

 

There will be a time this season when those mistakes don't happen and we put a run together.

 

Gonna be grim till it comes though.

Im just totally bored now of wondering why we're playing the type of balls Kevin Davies used to thrive on, up to Beckford. Its never going to work.

 

A fine couple of saves from Kirkland right at the end.

 

But otherwise that was pants.

Outplayed at home by a team in a worse position than us. We are just so easy to play against. Every team that comes here seems to have the freedom of the park and knock it around like Barca. Really really poor

I don't understand what he's trying to do. One up front. 3 midfielders falling over each other in the middle, none of whom could be described as creative. A left back at right back. Made to look average, apart from first quarter of an hour and last 10, against a side who can't buy a win. Progress? Not from where I was sitting.

 

Something has got to give and soon.

 

Surely DF cannot still be the Manager if we are in the bottom 5 at Xmas?

 

1 win in 12 is alarming.

 

And no wins at home is quite simply un-acceptable.

At least the thunderstorm was pretty cool though, eh? Coupled with the sending off waking the fans/players up it made for a dramatic last 10 mins

Eagles stood there in the first half waving his arms to the keeper,bogdan booted a high hopefull ball in the general direction of him and then eagles lost in ariel challenge.

Same long, high ball out to the wings happened all through pre season and still goes on now, twatting it out to the likes of Hall, Lee and Eagles. I can count on one hand the number of times its actually worked.

 

Surely by now they've seen how Beckford plays, trained with him enough times, seen the three goals he's actually scored for us, seen the goals he's scored for other teams in the past and know that he's not a target man?! Its infuriating!

On the crowd, I actually guessed 17,100 - seemed right, they must have had close to 2.5k. As mentioned before, with prices between 28 and 33 notes today I'm amazed we're getting the crowds we are. Those on the day prices need seriously looking at if we're to attract any new fans. Playing something resembling football might help with that tho as well.

 

And as for the fanzone, it's shite. £3.30 for a 440ml can of bitter?! Up from what used to be £1.80 I think. Same with the bus fares - we go down and the price doubles?! Only BWFC could apply that kind of logic.

I was very disappointed today. I thought the back 4 and Bogdan did ok all things considered. Can't for the life of me understand why we get over run in midfield if we have 2 ball winners there - unless of course they don't win the ball enough?

 

Eagles had a shit game but he's dug us out the shit enough to get away with a few bad games. Feeney looked like what he is - a Millwall reserve and no messiah.

 

Danns did chuff all apart from the back heel for Beckfords goal and Beckford - he's just Beckford. Glad he scored though.

 

Last 15 we did ok but overall, felt we were fortunate to get a point against a crap team who for long periods made us look worse!
