Since the Boundary shut down, it's a 10 minute walk to the next one.

Think it's about a mile in any direction to any pub from here, there's a private social club in the road parallel to mine, so I've been told. Went to a pub for Sunday lunch last week, half an hour on the bus each way. Good though.

Place called The White Bear opposite the train station; bit yokel but keeps a good pint and only 2.50, which for round here is cheap. But just opened is a massive wetherspoons and it's rammed all the time; it 1.95 a pint of bitter; I fear it could be the end of this dead end outpost of Hertfordshire. Still, we're not going to settle here; so I'll leave them to it.

bus?

bus?

Yes. Don't drink & drive, & the buses are that often you frequently get one to yourself.

:D Have to catch a bus twice a day from the car park to the office & back, with a load of filthy builders.

About 1/4 mile but I go to one 1/2 a mile away called the Hargreaves which always has 3-4 well kept real ales on and  is an all round better pub.

Hargreaves is decent if it's the one I'm thinking of.

Lumb?

If any of your pubs are Marstons gaff, they are probably going to be closed in the next year.

They are selling 200 pubs to a company that specialises in convienience outlets.

I hope they don't stop brewing the EPA....absolutely fantastic stuff that...

The Lakeland Gold?

Beautiful stuff, if so.

Epernay 9 floors below and taps 10 floors below. Hardly pubs though so it would be the Ralph abercrombie or the old grapes!

There's a casino, a bowling alley, a curry house, a burger, Mexican, cuban joint, steak and lobster restaurant, a cafe, a tesco, a Sainsburys and a brew dog all within 100 metres of my front door.

Gonna miss this when I move.

Went in brewdog a few weeks ago, am I the only person that thinks its a bit shite in their?

Oh and a cinema

Yeah it's a hipsters paradise.

Bearded twats

Bearded twats

Aye, like the Abercrombie mind.

Never been in. The cop shop next door puts me off even though I'm an upstanding citizen

Cyns Tavern, 4 minute walk

Cop shop is mainly empty these days, you can rack up in safety.

Those days are loooong gone but good to know!

Lumb?

Tis correct Traff. Landlord owned  so they can buy ale from wherever they please. Food can be hit and miss but is simple fayre so i simply go for the beer and get a bowl of chips to pick at as pub grub really doesnt rock me boat any how.

Next door but one to the colliers

Never go in.

20 min walk to the Duke of Welly

I sup in the shed before and after home games.

Nearest pub to me is bay horse in heywood, but it's a DMB pub, so I goto Gardeners at Birch

Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs and partners Re turning the station into flats next year

Mike who runs the 'crombie is sound for a red and as mentioned on another thread there's a filthy Eastern European barmaid who apparently plays for Yorkshire and Lancashire

Good boozer

Stevie have you been in that new Mexican or Almost Famous since it reopened at the Great Northern?

Mark addy or Salford arms. Salford arms has gone from a no go area to a good pub in the last year or so, shows it can be done., kings Arms is the best place to drink but could be ruined by the arrival of 700 student flats on its doorstep
