Diehards In Your Area.

I know the Bolton lot will mop up the vast amount of support, but what about the out lying area ? From being a kid on the service bus to Burnden, you always had loads in the South of the town from Astley, Walkden, L/H and Farnworth . Since moving to Leigh over 25 years ago, you still get a big following from Atherton and Tyldesley.

Ribble Valley near Rovers training ground and 4 families exist that support Bolton. It makes it really important to beat Rovers each season.

Marple is a hot bed of Wanderers fans with a number of families generating from there.

The Hazel Grove to Horch express on a Saturday always sees a few whites making ther jorney.

Pretty much all egg chasers here with a smattering of Pilgrims although all the kids wear DMB, Chelski or gooners shirts. One kid at my lads school was called Thierry for fucks sake!!

Not quite such a Wanderers hotbed down here in Hulme Castlefield.

I used to live there and know a couple of whites who may be joining you (they're not WWays types, mind)

I dunno as I don't know anyone round here. Refer to Radcliffe white.

Not many Wanderers round here.

Mostly Dmb's and city round here. But I did spot a wanderer in morrisons on Saturday. Shit fan though as he should have been in Ipswich.

wife's family from Heywood and Jesus shit loads of city up there do a lot of coaches to away games

what is the reason for people supporting Bolton on this thread, used to live in Bolton and move away? family ties?

The majority I know in Adlington is mainly Bolton with united probably second. The odd sprinkling of Preston and Blackburn but no Wigan fans to be seen. I actually didn't meet a single Wigan fan until I met one at work in Manchester about three years ago. I was beginning to think they were a fabled tribe.

Not sure what the demographic is like once you get into Chorley. A few more PNE I'd imagine.

and one aston villa fan which u have half converted

and one head the ball which u have half converted

Both grandads and my dad followed Bolton. One grandad first took me when I was five - used to stand in floodlight gantry in Lever End. Then Dad took over a we went in the Paddock, and there I stayed. In short I was brung up proper!!

Good number of Wanderers fans around Garstang. Don't think I've ever spotted another football shirt since I've been here, presuming it's mostly PNE.

I'm just a glory hunter.

Unfortunately, I'm not very good at it.

My dad is from Bolton (little lever) and moved to Blackpool in 79 after a divorce leaving 4 sons in chorley.

He met my mum in Blackpool, weirdly in the same pub I met my Missus, after being introduced to her because she was also from Bolton (halliwell)

She moved here in her teens when my grandparents bought a guesthouse.

I've loads of family still in halliwell, farnworth and harwood.

Plus I didn't really have a say in the matter as my dad took me all over as a kid.

I know a few younger whites here with no Bolton connection whatsoever,we were just fashionable at the time, nearest most accessible prem ground for a long time.

I only started in 2003 when I was researching 2 academic papers; one on fingering tunes, the other on methods of exterminating the elephus maximus

I naturally then happened across WW

I don't even know who Bolton Wanderers are

FIO

Live in Beverley and its mainly hull bandwagon jumpers and a few Leeds

Know of two other wanderers fans though

Mostly Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal fans around here, with a couple of Liverpool dropped in. Oh, and one guy on my indoor footy team who follows Palace...

Basically, whoever was doing best when they started watching English footy. I do know a girl who follows Norwich because she went to East Anglia University.

There's a few Brits though - a West Brom fan, a Man City/Rangers fan (born in Glasgow, lived in Manchester for most of his life), and a Liverpool fan.

I think I'm the only Wanderer for many a mile...

edit: Not sure any of them could be considered "die hards" so far from home.

I've asked this before but who is the furthest away white on here??

Was it not flannel Truscot?

(they're not WWays types, mind)

Is that a good or a bad thing? :)

Now How would you describe a W Wayer the diversity of poster makes it what it is

Born  and bred in Bolton. It's full of DMB'S and Scouse with the occasional smattering of City twats. Thought I'd break the mould and be a Bolton fan.

And I've just seen Bruce Willis wearing a Wanderers top

Good number of Bolton over in Darwen especially in the park pub in the Whitehall area of town. Often see Peter nicko & Mark Patterson in there
