Teachers Again

Apologies to those that do a tough job and work hard without moaning. Lecturers and even those in training dor a tough job...You know who you are ;)

However

I have a few of them moaning all the time on my FB wall about pay and conditions...

And 3 of the fuckers are posting pics today in expensive ski-ing resorts

Now fair enough

But stop moaning that you're on the breadline...is it bred into them at PGCE that they must moan about their salaries?!

Total empathy with that, I was told, off a teacher at parents evening, that my son is in what he calls" the dangerous" bracket, not that he's naughty but because he isn't naughty, doesn't mess about and can do the work and scores well on tests etc so he can apperantly get left out of the teachers attention to push him harder as he's not struggling nor kicking up a fuss, just gets on with it. So he 'a in the danger of not getting enough teaching time apparently

I'm in a fortunate position to be able to secure private tuition once a month for an hour to push him a little since hearing that and I think it stems from class size rather than teachers ability but it still irks that being well behaved gets you left out

It's true that.

I've had parents' evening where a kid and his mam and dad have sat in front of me and I've thought to myself 'who the fuck are you?'

We were put in 'special' English and Maths lessons in the 2nd and 3rd years at school so we weren't held back, as they put it, by the normal kids. This was prior to the streaming when options had been chosen, I doubt that happens in mainstream school these days apart from helping the 'special' kids on the other end of the spectrum.

Shame really as I recall learning a hell of a lot more in the smaller classes.

I've got some godchilden, one of them is having problems at school. He's a bright kid, really nice lad, good as gold. Last year he got the head's best behaved pupil award or something, which is perfectly understandable.

This year he's pissed off because he's not going to get a gold behaviour certificate, one of the only people in the class to miss out. His problem is that he's not a little shit. Act like a shit then have a quiet day and you get a gold mark. Behave all the time and you get fuck all. This country really is fucked. I've told him to do a shit on the floor then next day he'll get a reward for using the toilet correctly.

Bring him the match.....and we can point and shout "nerd"

You bein ironic or just contradicting yourself ?

The other way to look at this is that government claims there will be a £9bn deficit in next 5 years on all public sector pensions that includes armed forces, civil servants etc etc, naturally the unions dispute the figure, no idea who is right.

In next 5 years we will spend £47bn in foreign aid so the pension shortfall could be balanced but we choose to spend elsewhere, the funny thing is that the unions would never argue this way as they do not see foreign aid in the same way ax a lot of others.

I missed out a word

now corrected

There's possibly more to it and he's known to have a fetish. That'd make it then sexual.

Either way, if I was a breeder I'd not want him near my offspring.

quick google search and there is a lot more to it..

apparently a class game, where the pupils had to take their socks and shoes off and pick a card.. the card was either tickle of sniff..

must have been more to it, but honestly cant see anyone trying anything infront of a classful of pupils...

as you say though.. very strange... very very strange.. hopefully its something that has been taken well out of context...

And they want to keep their final salary pension

This has sealed it for me

I thought that but you'll have a ball, honest.

Was the best bit of my teacher training my a country mile. I considered transferring to primary after my 2 weeks.

I should have done, the only thing that stopped me was the nagging thought that it was a bit of a woman's job

found a few people starting September...

the primary ones all seem to be a bit...... nutty...

Out again;

Ms Blower said that Education Secretary Michael Gove should engage with the union on "education policies, on workload and accountability, teacher pay including performance related pay and his unfair pension changes".
