Just seen this on Ronnie Irani's Twitter, very sad. Similar to Ruth and others, an everpresent for years at Bolton.

“@RonnieIrani1: Local to Bolton League Cricket is sad news avid Heaton Cricket Club scorer & huge Wanderers fan Florence Branwood has passed away. RIP”

RIP.

As his her son, David

Proper folks, RIP

No way!

I met her years ago.

Don't make em like that anymore.

RIP

Proper White.

Sad loss, Florence was a fantastic lady.

Rest In Peace

Heaton CC legend, RIP.

Sad news. RIP.

Me dad knew her quite well thru work, I still have the Bolton Yearbook she gave him to give to me. He will be gutted when I tell him she has moved on , he was proper fond of her, said she was a real character but genuine with it. Not many left like her.

RIP

R.I.P fellow Wanderer

I was related to Florence and found out when another relative passed that Florences uncle was Joe Smith, captain of 23 Cup Final team and still highest scorer in a season for the Whites.

As White as they come.

Rip...

A well known white for many years

RIP

Sad news.

R.I.P.

Used to see her a lot at Burnden. Chatted a lot. RIP

Used to support us when David and ourselves played for old Smithillians in the 70's. Turned out with her half time oranges whatever the weather. True fan and great lady. RIP Florrie, you will be missed.

RIP Florence. As another Heaton stalwart she came to my brother's funeral almost 4 years ago now. Said a lot of nice things about Martin, and was shocked at his passing so young. Another sad loss.

I'd expect the club will do something.

That will spark interest from Zulu (and me to a lesser extent). We were more early 80's.

FFS, don't call her Florrie. She didn't like it one bit and often told folk who had dared to that "The name my parents gave me was Florence. If they'd called me Florrie then so could you!"

I only called her Florrie the once.

76yrs of watching the Wanderers, she deserves a medal.

RIP Florance

It was only last week when I walked past her her house thinking I hadn't seen her for a long time, never will now.

Used to call her Florrie amongst ourselves - Mrs Brandwood to her face.

R.I.P. Florence,

I recall she would always blag her way into the disabled supporters sections at away grounds for free (after she had sold us her comp tickets btw) if they where any good even though she was fitter than most of us, and she particularly liked the new Middlesbrough ground with the wheelchair section raised up above the seats but she got asked to leave when she jumped up and started shouting at the ref and was led out by the stewards only to reappear in the same section later.

Real supporter and I wish I had a tenth of her spirit and loyalty to the club.
