DazBob Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 i like how the signing of fellaini is used against him ok, he's never played for a big club before but most of the media wanked themselves daft over him I think the problem wasn't the signing of Fellaini, it was the trying to play him in a completely different way then he did at Everton. Our resident skiprat will probably be best qualified to comment on this, but, whenever I saw him play for Everton, Fellaini looked at his best when he was played further forward and balls were constantly pumped up to him from defence. Trouble always was, United fans would never accept this style of play. Moyes MUST'VE known this, and for that reason should never have signed him if he didn't have the guts to stick to his own beliefs rather than being dictated to about the way they should play. Quote
Eddie Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 United turn into your average football club within 12 months. All that shite about giving the new man years to build a new team, they're man united they're not like other clubs in sacking managers, even fergie made a point about sticking with Moyes. 1 years failure and they're in the same boat as everybody else, suddenly facing pressure from fans and media questioning their manager that they hadn't faced for 20+ years and now they've just shown they can't handle it. Already trying to please the fans by putting a fans favourite player in charge, we've all seen how well that works. Whoever comes in for the 'long term' will face exactly the same pressure that moyes got as soon as they have a few bad results. Add to the carnage the fact they're filled with bog average players and their dominance is well and truly over IMO. Watch the armchair fans jump ship now, they'll all have been die hard city fans for years Quote
freds dad Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Sounds like a job for the Ginger Mourinho. People in the game know how good he is Quote
Sweep Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 We can only hope that Giggs manages to win all the game between now and the end of the season, so the fans will be clamouring for him to get the job full time, as we all know that wouldn't turn out well Quote

To get the best out of Fellaini you either play him in MC, with a true defensive player behind him (Gibson / Neville / Barry), or as you say, get him to bully anyone a bit further up. At United, Moyes did neither. Which shows how stupid he is. Quote
DazBob Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 On the radio this morning I heard this season being described as "traumatic". Fucking hell. Quote

Wonderful headline to a small piece in the Telegraph: "If he is McGuinness, who will be O'Farrell?". Quote

COYW Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Some funny anecdotes about Van Gaal from that Dutch correspondent on Talk Sport, especially the one where he walked into the dressing room at half time, dropped his trousers and told the players that their performance wasn't arousing him. Quote
onefinfrandsen Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 wouldnt surprise me if utd went for the special one, compo could be a bit pricey though. Quote
tomski Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 wouldnt surprise me if utd went for the special one, compo could be a bit pricey though.I don't think he would want it. I reckon someone is in already, maybe van gaal. Moyes was to go in the summer but some shit hit the fan at some point last week and they have panicked. Quote
