All that shite about giving the new man years to build a new team, they're man united they're not like other clubs in sacking managers, even fergie made a point about sticking with Moyes.

1 years failure and they're in the same boat as everybody else, suddenly facing pressure from fans and media questioning their manager that they hadn't faced for 20+ years and now they've just shown they can't handle it.

Already trying to please the fans by putting a fans favourite player in charge, we've all seen how well that works.

Whoever comes in for the 'long term' will face exactly the same pressure that moyes got as soon as they have a few bad results.

Add to the carnage the fact they're filled with bog average players and their dominance is well and truly over IMO. Watch the armchair fans jump ship now, they'll all have been die hard city fans for years

Sounds like a job for the Ginger Mourinho.

People in the game know how good he is

I think the problem wasn't the signing of Fellaini, it was the trying to play him in a completely different way then he did at Everton.

Our resident skiprat will probably be best qualified to comment on this, but, whenever I saw him play for Everton, Fellaini looked at his best when he was played further forward and balls were constantly pumped up to him from defence.  Trouble always was, United fans would never accept this style of play.

Moyes MUST'VE known this, and for that reason should never have signed him if he didn't have the guts to stick to his own beliefs rather than being dictated to about the way they should play.

To get the best out of Fellaini you either play him in MC, with a true defensive player behind him (Gibson / Neville / Barry), or as you say, get him to bully anyone a bit further up.

At United, Moyes did neither. Which shows how stupid he is.

On the radio this morning I heard this season being described as "traumatic".

Fucking hell.

I was thinking much the same.

Wonderful headline to a small piece in the Telegraph:

"If he is McGuinness, who will be O'Farrell?".

Just made history man u

Just appointed their first black manager, fair play to them

Paul Ince?

Just made history man u

Just appointed their first black manager, fair play to them

Im sickened but I laughed.

Lefty failure there.

Just made history man u

Just appointed their first black manager, fair play to them

Also the first person to play for the club, manage the club and shag his brothers wife as well

would imagine if it isn't Van Gaal they'll probably find themselves in a similar situation next season, if they go for someone like Klopp

Simeone! nailed on

Please please please be owen coyle

And freedman as coach

Giggs will win all the remaining games..

Everyone else will turn them down as they'll need time to rebuild..

Fans will all want Giggs to stay on..

We'll be in league above them season after next..

Aye,just had a browse at Van Gaals CV.

Impressive to say the least.

Some funny anecdotes about Van Gaal from that Dutch correspondent on Talk Sport, especially the one where he walked into the dressing room at half time, dropped his trousers and told the players that their performance wasn't arousing him.

wouldnt surprise me if utd went for the special one, compo could be a bit pricey though.

I don't think he would want it. I reckon someone is in already, maybe van gaal. Moyes was to go in the summer but some shit hit the fan at some point last week and they have panicked.

Why would he leave Chelsea to go to United?  He's got a far better squad where is at the moment, but he's just missing a striker or two.  United's squad needs a major overhaul and he'd be risking his reputation.

I'm surprised those arrogant cunts aren't saying Guardiola should/will be their manager by the time next season kicks off.
