globaldiver Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 What's the ultimate "I was there" match Exeter in the League Cup on a Tuesday night? That tournament in Korea? Besiktas? Quote
Casino Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 definitely darlington or newport away on a tuesday lowest ever league crowd we played in front of Quote
L/H White Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Pompey when we qualified for europe Plovdiv Quote
Guest bwfcdan Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I don't have much pre-2000 era. Went to Southampton for a League Cup 2nd round tie on a Tuesday night a couple of year back. If we're talking about small numbers, Sunderland away in the cup a few year back. The following just about scraped into 3 digits. I know I've mentioned it before but I'm still quite proud that the first ever competitive Bolton game i went to was the last game at Burden. Quote
BoltonPro15 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Bayern Munich for me, people I tell often dont believe that we played them, let alone drew with them Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Watford night match league cup under McGovern 13 there might have been some in seats maybe 25 tops. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Oh and the Vittoria Setubal away friendly about 13 there. Quote
radcliffe white Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Who remembers playing emley in cup at huddersfield? Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I remember it wasn't that the one where Zico Kelly gave the BWFC fans 2 fingers and someone climbed up the floodlights? Quote
Biggish Dave Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Yes, I went to the Emley game - I think that was the day Tony Kelly eventually came good for us. A few I was theres - Southend on a Tuesday night with maybe 100 or so there when Stubbs scored early on (1st or 2nd minute), our first win at Ashton Gate for god knows how many years but still missed Patterson's goal but my favourite - Wrexham May 1988 I think Quote
Guest pansyroadwhite Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Beating Munich 3-0 at Burnden Friday 22nd of december 1978, the noise that night was the loudest i had ever heard at Burnden, all the bolton fans to a man sing "Bolton 3 bastards 0 Hallelujah" wonderful a night i will never forget Quote

Though a big shout for Blackburn away 6 months earlier. For sheer masochism, losing 4-0 at Plough Lane in the snow - or indeed the Wimbledon LC 2nd leg at Selhurst in front of <2000. For ecstacy followed by agony the Soton cup game. Barry fucking Horne. Plus, horrible though it was was I suppose I'm glad to say I was there to witness Barry Knight's efforts. Plus the Muamba events at WHL will be forever etched. Never known an atmosphere like it (in the stadium and on the walk back to station) and hope I'll never see it again. Quote
Dr Faustus Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 plovdiv munchen walsall (anelka's first goal) gretna Quote

gonzo Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Plovdiv by a country mile for me. Theres nothing I wouldn't have done to get that. Amazing night. The Hull Friday night game isn't far behind. Cheers Dad! Think the lowest following I've been in is Ipswich away on a Sunday on Ferny travel. 80 max I reckon. Sure we won as well with Bergson scoring. Quote
