MalcolmW Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 That's it, thanks. Even though neither Hull club were playing. Wigan v Widnes. Perhaps some of our fans wanted to get to Wembley!! Â There is a tradition for supporters of all clubs to go on trips to the RL final, irrespective of the teams. Obviously the competing clubs get a major allocation, but many people go year after year. And Hull is (was) a Rugby rather than football city. Quote
Rembrandt Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 All the european away games FA cup away wins at Liverpool, Everton & Arsenal OT years back when we won 2-1 when Frankie Worthy hit the winner at the scoreboard end right in front of us OT when we won 2-1 Blackburn when we won promotion All those. Plus Bournemouth midweek 1993. Ipswich & Wet Spam in League Cup 1994/95. Scarborough 1987 - bad, bad, bad. I won't go back further than late 70s. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Anyone go to one of the Anglo Italian cup games away?  Was it Ancona away that was close to the San Marino v England fixture early 90's  I didn't make any but nearly convinced my Dad we needed to go Oh yes what a trip on the coach that was first time I'd met the Horwich lads, the after match Bolton outpost in that Italian bar was superb with loads of ities buzzing round on scooters, they didn't fancy there chances and that was a good decision we'd of massacred them.
