natsdad Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I seem to remember that hull game was played Friday night because leeds were playing Newcastle on the Saturday and all available coppers were going to eland road. Quote
Marc505 Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I still think that Derby game will forever live as the worst ever. Still struggling to come to terms with what we saw on the pitch that night Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Still struggling to come to terms with what we saw on the pitch that night If that game is never mentioned ever again, it'll be too soon. The poor guy stood next to me must have thought I had Parkinson's & tourettes. I spent nigh on 90 minutes shaking my head & mumbling 'for fooks sake, for fooks sake!' Quote

Grimsby v Newcastle was the reason. Humberside Police couldn't do both games on same day. Quote

RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I've been at Bolton matches when England's most famous player was sent off for the only time in his career, a fan has been stabbed to death, a goalkeeper has scored & a player has scored directly from 2 corners....missed the Muamba game mind. It never used to be boring watching the Whites Quote
fatolive Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Don't think this has been mentioned, but the "9 men" game at Burnley. Quote

TheWanderer1958 Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 That Bangkok pre season thing with City and Everton. You could walk outside the ground, but singha beer for about tuppence and take it back inside. Asked Phil Gartside to swap shirts after we won and ended up in a revoltingly pissed up game of football on the carpark with a load of Thai lads. Then went to eat some noodles and vomited all over myself. Them being Budhists and all meant the owners were very understanding. Took a Thai bird who was suitably revolted. Ace. Quote
leigh white Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Our first Sunday game in 74 V Stoke City. Quote
