BOWTUN BAKED Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Whoa whoa whoa... Slow down a bit. I thought it was Beckford that was getting hounded out? I see there was a fleeting try at a Hall hounding, now we've moved on to Pratley? I cant keep up. Can we make a decision please, who's on the firing line this season? Quote
Casino Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Tim Ream ffs Dougie, what were you thinking. im definitely blaming the fans for that one we've been here before reams not great he can be not great in a number of positions so long as hes on sensible money, there is a case for him being around if we've now got two left backs injured, do we go buy another one? Quote

Zico Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Tim Ream ffs Dougie, what were you thinking. im definitely blaming the fans for that one for what, exactly? as a fan, it's your fault too then, whatever it is Quote
Garrp Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 for what, exactly? as a fan, it's your fault too then, whatever it is its was tongue in cheek but i meant those who voted him player of the season Quote
Kane57 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 On his day he's the best player in the division Over his whole Bolton career he's played an average of 20 games a season (give or take a couple). Premier at 38 games and Champ at 46...it's not great Quote
tylswhite Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Over his whole Bolton career he's played an average of 20 games a season (give or take a couple). Premier at 38 games and Champ at 46...it's not great I thought he was 50-50 for Watford so surely there must be a chance of him being fit this weekend? Quote
gonzo Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 What a transformation. He's been fookin outstanding. Quote
COYW Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Interesting to see that a few could see it was Dougie who was the problem rather than Pratley. Quote
EyesRight Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 My mate is a Swansea fan and he was gutted when he came to us. Probably the main difference is if you're playing in a well organised team where each player is placed according to his strengths then you can look very good indeed without being a world beater. I'd argue that the same was true for a lot of players in Big Sam's teams. Bump. Quote
jules_darby Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 what is clear from this thread is that you can only appreciate pratley if you take a macro viewMacro view leads.... Months later other follow xxx Quote
anewman Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Goes to show how man management can have n effect on players. Obviously with freedman walking round in circles with his head to the floor talking tactics and Mr burns passing on the message to the players had an effect. Quote
Juan.Kerr Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 He must have been one for the future back then. Quote
COYW Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Simon Charlton said yesterday on GMR that he had heard from various sources within the club that the players were confused by what Dougie was asking them to do during a game. It all adds to the general feeling that he just overcomplicated things. Quote
Spider Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 I said last night that I couldn't work out if he's just shit scared of getting involved or he's being asked to do a job I cannot fathom. Like most of the team, he's good enough but short on confidence. As bollocks as we were last night, 24 hours later I'm hoping a victory from the jaws of defeat might just spur them into a performance on Saturday. I've seen more good games from Pratley than bad ones so he is up to the task. Same goes for most of the others. Which means the manager needs to up his game too. He needs longer, they all do, but not much longer. Neil Lennon has answered my question then Unfathomable Dougie selections Confidence is back too Rosey. Quote
