November 24, 201510 yr Old jug ears was referring to climate change being a possible contributor toward 5-6 years of the worst drought known in Syria for some time. This lead to famine, civil unrest etc etc and ultimately the rise of the current situation. When I first saw the headline on MSN yesterday I thought "what is the daft twat banging on about now?" After reading the piece I revised my judgement - a little.

Ambush by Turkey in protest at Russian air strikes cutting off their access to cheap ISIS oil. And they're our NATO allies. Cracking.

November 24, 201510 yr Ambush by Turkey in protest at Russian air strikes cutting off their access to cheap ISIS oil. And they're our NATO allies. Cracking. Dividing NATO is surely a ploy by Putin
November 24, 201510 yr Dividing NATO is surely a ploy by Putin Shot his own plane down did he? I'm looking forward to the usual British press mocking Russian press for being bent whilst giving us an account of what's happening which was written for them by the foreign office routine. In this case the 'bad guys' are the only ones doing anything that might be interpretted as actually having a go at the real evil twats here, whilst the best NATO can muster is shooting down their planes for the sort of 10 second airspace incursion which happens every day somewhere or other without anyone scrambling the jets.
November 24, 201510 yr Shot his own plane down did he? . Nobody suggested that he did But are you seriously saying that dividing and discrediting NATO isn't one of Putin's primary goals? And furthermore that consequences of today couldn't possibly aid that?
