Islamic State

Why are we not bombing the fuck out of this lot with the yanks? I can understand why the Commons voted against not to get involved with the Syria thing. But this is different. If anyone needs blasting to fuck it's these cunts.

Nearly. Like I said, surely if someone is prepared to die (and the Paris lot clearly were) then surely the only real way to foil that is to help them on their way? I'm not hearing of that happening so therefore these people must still be on the streets? I dunno.

Whilst they're in the act obviously yes. But it doesn't follow that killing them whilst they are planning is the best way to proceed. Some of the UK attacks which have been foiled would have been similar to Paris. They were foiled without the security services killing anyone. They went through due legal process, which is better. Marginally.  Your basic idea that the only way to foil attackers who are prepared to die is to kill them isn't right. Life sentences for all terrorist offences are required.

An attack in the UK on the lines of the Paris one is likely to be less lethal as it is harder for terrorists to get their hands on automatic and semi automatic weapons here.

I bet it isn't, not by much anyway. Though it's ammunition which is more difficult.

suicide bomber attacks would be used over here IMO on somewhere like the tube

I was thinking of the 7th July attacks, a similar number of terrorists killed half the number of the Paris attack.

Mags, forgetting legal process and morals and all that shit, what's stopping our spooks from just slotting the cunts one by one James Bond style?

No fuss, no hysteria, just pop...gone....feed them to the pigs. Move on. Anyone questions where they are and the answer is some desert in Syria. Or sommat.

There's nothing to suggest that numbers are their priority. 224 were killed by a bomb in a plane with no loss of life by the terrorists. Disrupting our way of life by their barbaric acts is probably high on their list. A suicide bomber at the checkout at tesco would have an impact as great as any other, no matter what the loss of life.

There have been a spate of hoax calls about bombs on planes since the Russian crash. It all adds to their program of terror.

Got to hand it to the Russians. They certainly don't fuck about. 600 targets killed in one strike, courtesy of several cruise missiles. Also cutting off Daesh's oil supply, and now fully collaborating with the French and giving advance notice of operations to the US.

Almost seems bizarre.

It's not , Obama seems to think if he doesn't think theyre bad 'uns, then theyre not.

Thats what i read , anyway.

Now folk are just bypassing him to get shit done.

It's like Putin knew this ages ago .

Oh I agree, but again, I'm not hearing much of this either, certainly not 7 terror plots a year worth (unless there's some secret new Guantanamo).

brussels pretty much shutdown yesterday, tube off, shops closed, football matches cancelled, attack imminent apparently

i'm supposed to be off there in 4 week, ffs

Don't worry, I'll come with you instead

Big problem I have is this bombing campaign

They'll say that they've killed a certain number of ISIS but what we never hear about is the "collateral damage" ie the innocents that are also killed. Until of course it hits social media with pictures of dead kids.

Perfect recruiting for ISIS for the "disaffected" who hadn't previously thought about joining in

Fuck knows what the answer is but I'm really not sure  about bombing the shite out of Syria. Particularly if the septics are involved who have a lovely record of friendly fire

media blackout makes a lot of sense

Fuck me. Shits getting serious

2 of the 3 suicide bombers at the Stade de France are now confirmed as having entered Greece as refugees from Syria.

Nothing I suppose. Driver's hours?

The last time the figures came out in April 15 they detailed 299 people arrested for terrorism offences since April 14, 118 of whom were charged,  97 of the 118 were either convicted or awaiting prosecution. There were 122 people, 118 of them Muslim, in prison for terror offences. This all omits Northern Ireland, which has, I would estimate, if you count those on remand, about 80 or so terrorist prisoners, a few more if you want to count prisons in the Republic.

The IRA had a saying "You (the British) have to be lucky every time, we only have to be lucky once"

I fear it's not a case of if, but when they will strike the UK
