But it is irresponsible for these groups to go off doing their own thing vigilante style and risk impeding the ongoing work of experts who have a million times the assets of the hackers and a million times more ability to produce something actionable from it. Not many more like Paris, but Cameron put the number at 7 UK attack plots foiled in the last 6 months. From experience that sounds about right to me. At that ratio and allowing for some ebb and flow we are talking about over a hundred foiled plots since 7/7. So our experts are doing something right and have been for the last decade. And god knows how many are foiled in Northern Ireland. I'm not as current as I was when it was me helping foil them.
