Campos_Wig Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Hughton @ Norwich = 29.3% wins Lennon @ Celtic = 69.5% wins Mowbray @ Celtic = 51% wins Mackay @ Cardiff = 43.2% wins Its a tough call, Hughtons record at Norwich wasn't great, but he did well at Newcastle. Lennon followed Mowbray and did significantly better than him, Mackay did OK at Cardiff but was bank rolled by billionaire Vincent Tan. Lennon won 3 league titles in Scotland and has set his sights higher than BWFC, if he does come, it will be to use BWFC as a spring board to secure a PL job. Our lack of finances will be an issue for him, so I reckon best option would be Hughton Quote

COYW Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Lennon is unproven... Winning the SPL with Celtic counts for fuck all He also took them to the last 16 of the Champions League beating Barcelona on the way. Quote
Juan.Kerr Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I think I'd like Mowbray. He looks strong and nowty enough to whip our lazy bastards into shape and not take any old bollocks off PG. Quote
Carlos Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Our company need a new MD and no one has spoken to me, even though I'm not an MD, I'm fuming hun. Fucking pathetic that some simpletons think we should go round the staff and tell them all explicitly that it's not them. Fuck me, whatever next? Quote
gonzo Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Wonder how BWFCCOLIN58 and jimmy the head would feel about Neil Lennon becoming manager? :-) Quote
Carlos Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Who gives a shit? We are Bolton, we aren't a club with religious affiliations. Quote
gonzo Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Who gives a shit? We are Bolton, we aren't a club with religious affiliations. You won't be saying that when he takes charge of his first game wearing a balaclava . Quote
no balls Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 You won't be saying that when he takes charge of his first game wearing a balaclava . at least it'll hide his blatant gingerness Quote
davidjack Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Well said. If he can do the job and it cures some people of their bigotry, bring it on. If he can, but it doesn't, then stick to watching your football at Ibrox. Quote

davidjack Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I'm all for the right to protest...but what would they be protesting about? His Catholicism? Just so we're clear... Quote
no balls Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 What about atheists who just think he's a horrible runt? Do they have to go to watch football in Glasgow too? Quote
davidjack Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Not if they don't want to. But I think the original posting about whether he would be deemed as suitable by certain folk had a sectarian dimension. And I think we all know that. Quote
pato Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 It would be a change from the apathy of the last few months Quote
davidjack Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 They have that right, pato, but folk who choose not to pigeon-hole people by their religion have the same right to call it for what it is. Quote
no balls Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 So folk are alright getting T shirts made up telling him to fuck off as long as they don't mention him bring a left footer. Quote
pato Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 But would be unlikely that Lennon got the gig because: 1 he thinks he can get a Prem job 2 probably won't apply 3 got a media job with Radio 5 till the right job comes around Quote
davidjack Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 No balls, yeah, I'd say that's fair. I had lots of reasons for thinking DF wasn't up to the job (as lots of others did too), but none of them had anything to do with his religion or ethnicity. Speaking as a Boltonian atheist. Quote
