tarian1979 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 As long as that championship experience isn't with Barnsley happy days Quote

Haha Looks like he knows absolutely fuck all. He is just re hashing everything that he has read online! Quote
Horwich Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 He had a shortlist last time that included DF and i got him at 33/1 Im sticking with his championship experience. Quote
HoldensHairdo Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Nixon reckons any one from four - Mackay, Hughton, Lennon & Clarke Quote
HoldensHairdo Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Clarke odds dropped to 6/1 from 14/1 in an hour! Quote
Bigtoe Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Well from that list, my preference 1 Clarke 2 Mackay 3 Hughton 4 Lennon Quote
ohjimmyjimmy Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Steve Clarke's managerial statistics: Total 60 games W19 D14 L27 31.67 per cent Not sure why everyone's so excited about the prospect of him Mowbrays over 450 games is 43 per cent, Hughtons is 40% over 230 games Even DF's was 34% Quote
COYW Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Steve Clarke's managerial statistics: Total 60 games W19 D14 L27 31.67 per cent Not sure why everyone's so excited about the prospect of him Mowbrays over 450 games is 43 per cent, Hughtons is 40% over 230 games Even DF's was 34% Clarke's stats are for Premier League games. Mowbrays include not only the Championship but the SPL where Celtic tend to win most of their games. Hughton's stats also include Championship games. Quote
HoldensHairdo Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) Steve Clarke's was in the premiership with West Brom - kept them up and regardless of this stat, should never have lost his job. The others includes majority being in championship with top-end clubs in that division. Put Clarke in championship with West Brom and am sure that percentage would be a lot higher. Completely false stat to analyse in my opinion - it's like you saying not to get excited about signing messi because Welbeck has more premiership goals! Edited October 8, 2014 by HoldensHairdo Quote
ohjimmyjimmy Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Don't we want somebody with more of an experience of the championship then? I don't think failure in the premier league = success in the championship I mean, just look at our players! Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Mowbray's statistically the best of that lot then, but iirc, his win ratio in the tinpot league was considerably less than... The right man for the job... Imagine that? I think we should get ready for a blindside, left-field appointment a la Begscum, John Sheridan anyone? Quote
HoldensHairdo Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Did he fail in the premiership though? Definitely not. Quote

If he is then either Clarke or Mowbray or Mackay would be ok for me Quote
Razaldo9 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Did he fail in the premiership though? Definitely not. West Brom fans seem to think so. He sounds a fair bit like Freedman in some of the comments. http://westbrom.com/forum/index.php?topic=8185.1875 Quote
