I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

He went up in my estimation after mentioning the occasions when he let the Chelsea fans down in his post match speech. Not many would do that or if they did it would be in a statement prepared and read out by a solicitor.

Quality player one of the best

Would have taken him to the euros last summer . Probably still the best English centre half in the premier league . Great leader too . Still a massive cunt though :-)

He did a lot for youth players at Chelsea, almost a shop steward for their problems, and paid for plenty treatments out of this own considerable pocket.

But apparently when he was in the youth set-up (as a box-to-box man) the youth manager thought he couldn't make the grade and would not select him. A coach who thought much better of him got his mate, the reserves manager, to give him a game and so he played for the reserves before he had played for the top youth team. Then he filled in as a full back and it all evolved from there.

So what happened at the end of the game wasn't enough for him?

Why shouldn't they do whatever they want though? Get on earth do people get annoyed about stuff like this. It's another club who have no impact on us but folk want to moan

Its not the crime of the century, but it was all a bit fingers down the throat.

Over the top; Sunderland players should have gone for a pint.

Don't get me wrong I thought it was ott but it's not going to wind me up

Actually, considering that people made money off of bets that Terry would be subbed in the 26th minute, and given that both Chelsea and Sunderland were complicit in arranging said substitution, it's all being investigated.

And nothing will happen.

Didn't the substitution take place in the 28th minute?

Didn't the substitution take place in the 28th minute?

probably later than that, the whole embarassing episode took that long.

The board was held up in the 26th, I assume that's what they were going for.

The bookies paid out on the 26th minute.

John Terry is a cockney chav shocker

A great leader on the pitch and as stated above been good with young players. A series of infamous incidents will always hang around him though.

I Think they should both have 26 points deducted.

That drops Chelski to 6th and drops them to the Europa League.

And Sunderland would set a new record of -2.

Better still, apply the punishments next season.

Apparently every club in the PL except Sunderland 'earned' at least £100M in the season, but Sunderland only got £99.9M, so they could be a bit stretched next season.

They nearly sold him to Huddersfield in 2000, after they'd sent him out on loan to forest

but he played well at Forest so they decided to keep him thinking he was worth more than the fee they'd agreed with Huddersfield

Lincoln Red Imps were pipped for the Gibraltar league title, so drop to the Europa League next season.

Europa FC will move to the Chumps League (don't know if they are changing name).

Vialli agreed a fee of £750k with Steve Bruce, but JT wouldn't leave.

Chelsea dodged a bullet then
