I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Brilliant result for Aldershot my mate will be chuffed his son gets to play against West Brom Jack Barham.

Barham did really well in the build up to the goal. TBH all the kids did although MOTM was 22yo Swiss lad Tolaj, once on the books of Brighton.

Next round tie at the Hawthorns so it'll be a great day for your mate and his lad.

Too right hope he gets the winner .

Milan will be popular in Newcastle. Shafted them on Tonali and now dumped them out of Europe 🙂

Man Utd and Saudi Arabia both bottom of their groups. Lovely.

Connor Bradley starts for Liverpool

Had a tenner on him at 4/1 for a shot on target

Doesn't look like coming in but great odds of he was in a strong on the front foot Liverpool xI

He was lucky to get away with a 2nd yellow then.

Mad high line left em wide open for both goals.

Just seen the format for the Europa league

Pretty sure this is new and wasn't in place last season

8 groups

Top team goes straight to last 16

Second play in play offs v CL drop outs to them go into last 16

So winning the group gets you two games off

Nice touch

West Ham like this

Away end bouncing at Brighton, always remember The Dodgers. Got talking to the owner of a bar who was one of their members. They hated the other ultras mob more than any other club. Madness.

Looks a good crowd on too. One thing that dissapoints me looking back at our European forays is our home crowds.

They were bloody shocking.

The away end villa are in looks like a cage

Aye, basically means all to play for, between them and Freiburg and Brighton v Marseille as both games will determine first and second

now you mention it, I don't think I bothered with most of the home ones, and at the time, I rarely missed a game home & away in the league

Aye think the league games were massively the big draw. The Cup attendances were tosh as well.

Maybe it's becasue we were never truly a settled top flight team and knew it was never going to last forever.

What a result for Rangers that is.

Christ, and they've followed it up with Sweet Caroline as well. They should be thrown out.

All British clubs topped their groups

I wonder if that's happened before?

Aberdeen didn’t

Certainly was. New manager seems to have made a big impact. Lift a trophy at the weekend and they'll really be rolling.

I've met some of their ultras. They used to drink at Klapper 33 in Alt Sachsenhausen but moved to another pub round the corner whose name escapes me at the moment.

Mental cases so them standing on top of a freezing cold mound in Aberdeen for 90 minutes would not surprise me one bit.
