Good to see different teams in the mix. They currently deserve their place at the top table. For how long who knows. Emery has won so much in his career it seems mad he was ever written off. You're right on Emery, it was my mistake to underestimate him. Re standards, Villa fantastic certainly not taking anything away from them. My comment was more that Arsenal, City and Liverpool (and possibly Newcastle) don't look as strong as last year, overall. All 3 scratching out results rather than looking convincing, to me. Quote

Excellent cross from Paulinho, well taken by Raul - but I'm still loving that pass from Grealish that Alvarez fucked up - thing of beauty. Luton look like they're going to be hard work for us - they have serious grit and a bit of quality. Edited December 10, 2023 by Wanderlust Quote

Wanderlust Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 TBH City are making it easy for them - playing nice stuff but without the urgency you'd expect and taking an extra touch too often which gives Luton time to close down and put a tackle in. Still looks just a matter of time before City score but they are making hard work of it. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Hmm, harder work now. Quote

London Wanderer Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 This City ‘mini crisis’ is lovely watching. What was Pep complaining about at HT? Quote

Wanderlust Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 They're playing with much more urgency now - more like they played when Pep first arrived - but I reckon there's some complacency in this current City squad, perhaps even a sense of entitlement and disrespect for the likes of Luton - and if they start off games with that attitude it's always going to be a struggle for them. That said they nearly scored but for a great save from Kalinski. Silva hooks it in for the equaliser Quote

Wanderlust Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Jumped in but didn't land on Foden's foot so claiming possession first rather than a foul and technically Foden kicked Brown - although it was very risky Quote
Wanderlust Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Sean Dyche has sorted out Everton's defence with two banks of four - they're hanging on to a one goal lead against Chelsea and it's all hands to the pumps with Tarks blocking everything. If they can hold out.... Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Fulham got 5 now. Kinell. Gollum won't be happy. Quote
