I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

It’s just the best time watching your lad grow up improve and enjoying playing with mates. Think that’s where my passion has waned for pro football getting my fix on Sunday mornings instead. Saying that if Bolton win this Saturday I’ll have a warm glow all over.

Im exactly the same mate, I get more excited abouot his games more now than any pro games. Its pure footy, love it. Mon, Wed, Thurs, Sat AND Sunday fix!!!!

Bayern missing loads of good chances then Madrid get an away goal, fine volley.

Same here, I have an u7, u9, u13 & u15 that I act as Taxi, coach and boot sponsor for :) all a different levels of ability and not much time to do owt else over weekends between em all, but wouldn’t swap it.

I ran a team for about 8 years

Enjoyed it but in the end great to get back on away days

It wasn't a volley, it had already bounced.

And before anyone suggests it, it wasn't a half-volley either.

Good finish though.

Still a volley.

imo it is, caught it whilst in the air, the official champions league call it a volley too, it's not direct from a player, but because it bounces off the floor, is that why you don't see it as a volley, assisted by non human?

If Roma are in the best 4 teams in Europe then its a poor doo, defenders with their backs turned away from forwards inside the penalty box on numerous occasions absolutely schoolboy defending. Quite right Bolty about the other semi final being European cup final decider, scousers if they get through will get smashed.

Once again it seems we agree. I predicted a few weeks back that both major European trophies would be residing in Spain for the next 12 months.

I have seen nothing to change that opinion. Doesn't Really matter who gets through from the Roma/Robber clash.

Bollocks, just like you told me that Portugal wouldn't win the Euros.

They were set up to win a competition like that with defense coming out on top.

Club competition is different, and can pick from around the world, Liverpool currently have a forward line to destroy any team, only thing that will stop them is injury to Firminho, Salah or Mane.

I’ve never seen a man more triggered by the Champions League than you ????

Portugal? Eh? Got the right bloke?

All opinions. Put some dosh on Liverpool if you are that confident.

Before you ask - mine is already on Atletico Madrid to win the Europa and Madrid to win the ECL.

Neither might win but that's gambling eh?

Bollocks to you too.

Brilliant. Enjoy every minute of it because once they reach under 16s age group the attraction of booze, birds and parties kicks in and teams tend to struggle to get 11 men for Sunday morning matches!!

You would have been no good at headers and volleys

You would have been no good at headers and volleys

Correct

It's only a volley if it's not touched the floor. A half volley if there is just 1 bounce

Thought a half volley was if your foot connected with the ball as it was hitting the ground

Correct, for it to be a half volley the ball still has to be on an upward trajectory after bouncing.

I haven't seen the goal so is it a volley, half volley or just a shot?

Maybe Diddles would understand if there was a FIFA headers and volleys 2018 version

Score without neither, go in goal

Cross came in, bounced a few times and he hit it whilst it was in the air. Therefore just a normal shot, albeit a good one.

Not a volley, go in goal

A volley is a shot that doesn't bounce before you hit it, always was always will be ????

Same in every ball sport.

Why the hell would it be different in football?

Like DS says, if you played heads and volleys as a kid you’d know what volley was.
