gonzo Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Can’t believe there’s a full radio show on talk sport about fantasy football. Can’t believe I’m listening to it. Can’t believe I think I posted the same this time last year. Quote

Can’t believe I think I posted the same this time last year. The championship is full of well supported clubs but mainstream channels would rather put any old fluff on about premier league teams, or worse women's football, than give the FL the coverage it deserves Quote

Can’t believe I think I posted the same this time last year. I'm not bothering this year First season in a while I've not done one I normally lose interest before August is out anyway But really could not be arsed, mainly because I've really lost touch with who is who and who is any good There were even lads in the England WC squad I'd never heard of Quote
jules_darby Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 And conversely it’s the first year I’ve bothered in over a decade Seems a lot more complicated these days so reckon i’ll give up after a week Quote
Zico Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 And conversely it’s the first year I’ve bothered in over a decade Seems a lot more complicated these days so reckon i’ll give up after a week In my old office there was one lad who did transfers each week and had spreadsheets to keep track on form and stuff All to top a league of 7 I'd leave injured players in as captain for weeks Quote

I can’t name one Watford player other than Troy Deeney or a Southampton player. Defoe at Bournemouth, rondon at Newcastle. Quote
Marc505 Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 Read an article about Hull's dwindling support earlier, about 12k home fans officially on Monday night but apparently there were actually far less on - similar story to us sometimes I suppose. Anyway, the article says the away fans took great delight in pointing out the empty seats throughout the game. Aston Villa, of fucking course it was. Quote

They love of reminding everyone just how big they are despite them doing absolutely fuck all in around 20 odd years. Up there with Forest in the "We're still a MASSIVE club" cockend club. Hull are suffering having over-achieved in recent times and acquired a chunk of "new" support. They soon dwindle when the shiny PL looks a long way from returning. Think the same would happen with the likes of Watford, Palace, Bournemouth, Huddersfield is they slipped out and had a few seasons in the Championship. Quote

radcliffe white Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 Villa are deluded and done nothing off note in years but make no mistake they are a big supported club Quote
Whites man Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 Villa and Sunderland were both at least as f#cked as we were in 2016 but were taken over by someone with deeper pockets than Ken. Quote

gonzo Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 Bournemouth, Southampton and Brighton all for the drop. South coast treble. What odds on that paddy? Quote

frank_spencer Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 There's shit loads of empty seats most weeks at Villa Park. Fucking scumbags that they are. Quote

Spider Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 There's a fair few Villa fans at my place and most of them are swivel-eyed fucking fantasists who still think they should be playing Real Madrid every season. There's a couple that are ok and are convinced it's shit or bust this season - they'll be another Leeds if it doesn't happen. What they do all have in common is that they sound fucking ridiculous as soon as they open their gobs. Quote
MalcolmW Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 Clean sheet for Joe Hart of Burnley in Turkey tonight - pity about the booking. Quote
