I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

England’s and Manchester United’s all time top goal scorers and won every single domestic honour on the table.

Smoking and drinking might knock 5 years off his life but it made fook all difference on his playing career.

I'm not knocking his achievements but he's "only" had two 20+ seasons in terms of goals, so maybe a more athletic approach may have given him the kind of edge Ronaldo had over the same time period

2-1 Kane

Looks like a trip to Portugal then

Came right in the end. Sterling frustrating again. Plenty to be pleased about, just need to convert these chances early doors to make it easier for themselves.

Good win, but they're overdoing this a lot on Talkshite

Aye just seen

think it’s a cheeky trip in June

It looks like we will be extending our already planned trip to Alvor.

I need to work out the best way to get from there to Guimaraes or the other semi final location.

The final four of the Nations League are England, Switzerland, Portugal and Holland if they get at least a draw in their last game against Germany.

Who'd have put money on that?

That was some comeback from Switzerland

Aye it was, Shaquiri is some player, and can see him being a big star in the prem for Liverpool when he gets a proper run.

As for the Nations League, it's a really good format now I've got my head round it (although I was telling myself it's a glorified friendly when Croatia went 1 up earlier.

We'll be favourites to win?

probably, but not if Holland lose to Germany and France end up in the last four, not inconceivable.

I filter out the negativity. Been a long time since we had an England team who could do that (i.e. come back from going a stuffy goal down after totally dominating). Wasn't that long ago that heads would have gone down and a heavier loss would have followed.

Doing well is Southgate. It's all been a breath of fresh air since he took over.

Sterling frustrates the hell out of me finishing wise but by the fuck he causes some mayhem when he runs at them.

Agree with all that Bolty

I just watched the goals now, Shaquiri is class he just looks like he shouldn't be!

I don't mind the Nations League either (I'm sure PL managers aren't as pleased with their players playing full 90 minute competitive games like). I don't think there'd have been quite as much bother with it here if say we'd have won yesterday to get us promoted from League B to A but having a mini Euros to look forward to next year is ace.

So it's -

Portugal

England

Switzerland

Netherlands

Semis in Portugal June 5th + 6th 2019

Final on the 9th June 2019.

Draw to be made on the 3rd Dec 2018.

Bring it on.

Odd that Holland didn't qualify for the World Cup, yet qualify from a group that includes the winners and Germany.

Aye, they said ours was a group of death. That group was at least as difficult on paper.

Well done Virgil Van Dyk

We won't be meeting Chorley in this season's FA Cup! 7-0 down after 85 minutes at Donny.

They played most of the second half against 10 men.

Trains are off through December weekends again. Absolute cunts of the highest order.
