I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

What's crack with Chelsea and no shirt sponsor

Don’t know, but they look a decent team.

Spot on. When Liverpool announce they’ve won 1 league title in their history, I’ll start listening to goal scoring records etc.

Some English fans really let us down when it comes to their aloofness towards other leagues. I hate Bayern. It’s a great move though. He gets a change of scenery. Upgrade on teammates. Likely more money. Trophies. Fantastic city. Great weather.

But Malcolm from Burnley thinks it’s a farmers league 😂

Which has produced the champions of Europe 8 times? I suppose I should have tuned out at 'Burnley'.

Did you see Napoli may have pulled it out of the bag signing Gabri Veiga.

They had a deal lined up with Paramount but prem said no

His squad number is 84. There are 40 members of the squad. He's young enough to be selected out of the nominal 24 member named squad.

Nat Phillips, btw, is #47.

Like most I expect him to be loaned out again. At least Championship.

Who? Bradley or Phillips? Or maybe both?

Betting companies galore and Saudi owners are welcome, but no streaming sponsors allowed because it might upset sky and BT

Haha are you suggesting the premier league gets on its moral high horse only when it suits?

Well, were were talking about Bradley weren't we, but yes ... potentially both I guess.

Yes we were, then suddenly you brought Nat Phillips into the conversation then went on to say you’d expect him to be loaned out again.

I merely pointed out that, for pure interest, Phillips was there & had a number. But you know this.

Clear pen

Disgusting decision not to even tell the ref to take another look at it.

But not surprising in the least.

Boring game in another farmer’s league.

Yes mate. I get a bit of a WhatsApp running commentary from one of the cousins.

The general feeling is that they won't repeat this coming season but, if you know any Napoli fans, you would expect this. Pessimistic based on decades of disappointment. I think they will be thereabouts but probably will fall short.

As a betting man, if forced to bet on who will win it this time around, I'd probably back Inter with a saver on Juventus.

Aye difficult one this time. Think it’s wide open. Juventus will depend a lot on Allegri going for national team or not. Inter is logical. Will be interesting to see how Atalanta’s new look works and it would’ve good to see either Roman side kick on. Should be good.

Last night's officials have been dropped from duty for the coming weekend.  Should be sacked, not dropped for one weekend.

Simon Hooper is a dreadful ref. Far from the first time he's been dropped too for poor performance. Get rid of him

I didn't see it, but the wireless commentators were aghast that the penalty wasn't given. They also commented that the rest of the press area seemed equally bemused.

It was an incredible, ridiculous non-decision. Got to say Wolves looked good, for a club supposedly in a bit of a crisis. That midfielder that kept bursting from deep looked like he was playing on a different level to everyone else.

Haven't seen it but there's comments saying if the pen gets given then it would have been 1-1

Err not necessarily
