Giving city a game today, and have been getting leads in the recent games they've lost. I think they just need to give this manager two or three years to really get his methods imprinted on the squad and coaching staff. Quote

L/H White Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 9 conceded in 4 for City I'll go with they're dropping off Can't last forever and they've got the club world cup to go at Liverpool for me this year Arsenal will bottle it Quote
MickyD Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Ref had already waved play on. Unfortunately we didn't get to see if Grealish had been marginally offside. Quote

Biggish Dave Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 City need to tighten up at the back. That said, they won't finish any lower than 2nd so it'll take a good team to topple them. They aren't the team they were a couple of seasons ago though. Gundoigan or however its spelt is a massive miss Quote

City don't usually start very well but finish strongly. They started well thus time, and you'd expect this little run to be ironed out again, prior to a strong finish after new year. Quote

Aye How far were Arsenal ahead even into the later stages of the season, chased it down and won it comfortably Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 I do think other teams are slowly catching city though, and if city have points taken off them by other top sides, then it really does open the league up more. Quote
Zico Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 reckon Arsenal have a bit more steel about them this season and picked up points where they may not have last season - Chelsea and City in particular but yeah it's Arsenal Quote

Dr. Feelgood Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 I like the way Citeh play but they always have a draw/defeat in them. They start with the advantage of not being red, of any postcode. Quote

United and City have spent roughly the same, it's just that United haven't been able to recoup as much of the fees paid as City have because they've been shopping in lower quality markets City can sign the cream of the cream and when they do that the players they sign do them for a decade - sign De Bruyne or Haaland once and they don't need to keep signing them every year It's why United end up spending £80m on dogshit like Anthony or that Hojland who still hasn't scored a league goal It's not just money either, everything at City is set up how Guardiola wants it Quote
