I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Yeah. We don’t talk about it though

Jesus, too far.

JCL's like him are the reason I can't get hold of a ticket once every couple of seasons...

Haha. He also supports England. To be clear he’s very much German

Nowt as queer as volk

Think this is the best place to put this but walking through town today and I passed Wyn Davies. Wished I’d stopped to say hello but the moment passed. (It’s not the first time) Maybe next time.

It’s not often that, in a normal walk into town, you share a brief moment of space with a football legend.

aye

wondering if up until this season they were the only team to play in a champions league final, who have never actually been champions

I think there are a few. We had this question at a home game. Let me try and find out

Told this before but he called into my shop with a photo of him with Best, Charlton and law. Told him he was my boyhood hero. When he called back, he brought a load of photos of his time at Bolton. We spent 1/2 hour or so going through them with my eldest son watching in amazement.
I don’t use the word legend lightly. Ask anyone in Newcastle. He walks among us 👍

Don't take this the wrong way but I'm going to do my own research as well

edit - Glasgow, although that might have been what triggered the original question seeing as it was about that final. I’m having it anyway!

I've looked

I'm only seeing Leverkusen since 92

I presume before then it only featured champions anyway

The only other one I doubted was spurs but they've won titles well before my time

Yes. Absolutely incredible season and, unlike Napoli's implosion which is directly related to Spalletti leaving to manage the national team, Alonso is staying.

Last night at 2-0 down I was thinking "they'll end up drawing this". It just keeps happening.

I would bet right now that they will win at least one piece of silverware next season too.

I think they'll be strong again, don't seem to be losing more than a couple of players. Bayern will come back like an angry beast again though I feel.

😂 They not happy. They’ll have me back if they get good again

Of course you'll be allowed back in. If not, I'll resign.
