I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

And how many of those would rather not have had the expense of a trip to the capital for a game of football? For small supporter numbers by clubs located in similar areas, there’s a lot to be said for using large regional grounds.

I'd say 99% of em would still prefer a trip to Wembley. Its the pinnacle of football for anyone.

Just not for a semi final.

Aye, as I found out doing my own research

Hartlepool played Torquay in the national League play off final a few years ago at Bristol City

No doubt more convenient for Torquay fans but I suspect they'd rather get a go on Wembley rather than Ashton Gate

Hartlepool definitely would have, given they've never been

the problem with everybody playing there changes that, though

id not argue it should just be for arsenal, united and city, but its been devalued

agree, they should fuck the semis off

most steps of the pyramid should play there for any finals

even the bigger kids stuff

Villa 3/1 at home tonight v Liverpool

Seems generous all things considered

As been said it should just be for finals

Every team, player and fan should hope to get a go at some point on a big day out

Bournemouth shouldn't just be settling for Spurs away once

Loads of video of the rain & flooding at Satan's Nest in Stretford yesterday.

Stunning amounts of rain. Literally pouring off the rooves & down the terracing.

Also on the pitch. Only 10 minutes after the game ended. Significant puddles everywhere. I think, had the game still be being played it would have been abandoned ... in the season's final week. Imagine how that would have fckd things over.

Plus, Rooney suggesting the Redsox huge injury list is as much to do with people's willingness to play as injury. Certainly 'play through the pain-barrier' has lost it's pull there.

Lovely jubbly.

I heard about Rooney's comments, and whilst he may have some insight, I doubt he knows the full picture.

Agreed although Villa probably think a point will be enough as Spurs are likely to be rogered senseless by City tomorrow. I suspect that Villa have already done enough for the CL place.

In an ordinary world, Liverpool win that!

What a cracking game, so pleased Villa equalised in the end

Really? I was shocked Villa weren't ahead by a couple at one point. They didn't half butcher some chances.

Villa wanted it more, they were hungry like a wolf.

city will be pleased gives spurs less hope, a blue moon on Monday.

Great reflex save though at the end from Alisson

I was surprised how easily Liverpool's lead did come undone
