I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

There's 4 of the 92 not appeared at new Wembley:

Accrington, Blackburn, Colchester and Ipswich.

I find that absolutely crazy.

So 88 clubs have appeared at Wembley at some point?

Blows my mind that.

I had the random thought just then that when have Bournemouth been to the new Wembley?!

Turns out they played Spurs there when Spurs were using it as their home ground.

19 of them were playing Spurs in the league when they played there (and probably a few more besides). Bit sneaky, like. Plus with EFL Trophy, FA Cup semi finals, Bradford getting to EFL Cup Final and probably a few with FA Trophy/Conference play offs (Salford), it easily racks up.

This.

A clever worded statement in the article, but if you explore all opportunities, then the teams mount up.

2 games on the trot now held up for crowd trouble.

So are you saying the other 88 have all played at the new Wembley at least once since 2007??

Just did a quick search of league two teams off top of my head

Crawley never played there, this will be there first trip to Wembley

I think @jmjhb meant it's only those four now Crawley Town will play at Wembley

Yeah fair point

Further googling and all the ones I've checked have been there

Fa trophy for a few L2 as well

So be right once you think about it

It's the maddest stat ever. 88 different teams have played at Wembley since 2007.

Ridiculous

Doesn't seem even slightly plausible does it? I'd like to see an excel spreadsheet with dates and the reasons why.

Calling @Leyther_Matt

I'd like to see Raquel Welch (in her prime) spread on my sheets. That's not going to happen either.

I like the Portuguese football as a reliable betting medium (but could do without the extreme histrionics on the pitch).

Yet another very late winner for Porto this morning but the coach, Sergio Conceicao, must be the most ill tempered nowty fucker in the game. Never seen him happy. Instead of celebrating the last gasp winner he was in some sort of confrontation (yet again) on the touchline. He had  a set to with Arteta earlier this season if I remember rightly.

Rumours that he'll be at the San Siro managing Milan next season. Conceicao and volatile Italians. What could possibly go wrong? :D

What are the stats on the

OLD WEMBLEY

did every team play there  i Wonder ???

That's precisely what I said when posting the question!

Some of the current crop may not have played there, but plenty of former league teams may well have.

Old or new, it's still Wembley, and it is still a bit of a surprise that only one of the current 92 have never played there.

I'd already forgotten about that by the time I became all consumed on researching the new Wembley statement

I did find out that whilst getting to a play off final twice, Hartlepool have never been to Wembley - one was played at Cardiff and the other randomly at Ashton Gate

And how many of those would rather not have had the expense of a trip to the capital for a game of football? For small supporter numbers by clubs located in similar areas, there’s a lot to be said for using large regional grounds.
