I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Is this trick one St Denis?

Bit of a Ryanair version of Paris

Nice

I've done some of my own research though and wiki seems to think it's a "suburb" of Paris and is only 6 miles north

Would this be like Selhurst Park hosting the final and saying it was Croydon not London?

I think an easy comparison is saying Wembley not being in London

I feel like I'm walking into a gotcha but how are we allowing Amsterdam onto this list!

Because it's not the capital.

Bern, Switzerland ?

They played World Cup games there, so maybe European Cups too?

And I think Ajax won it at Feyenoord's ground, so Rotterdam?

Don't be giving me any Den Haag silliness now

Rotterdam...

@Marc505 is right

Amsterdam is the capital, The Hague is the seat of government

He's doing a great job, hope they don't sack him.

Ok

I formally request that Saint Denis be removed from this list, it's part of Paris and if we go down that route I reckon there'll be more grounds further away from the centre of the city they are in

Put it this way

If they asked you to name places that have hosted a champions league final on Pointless or Who Dares Wins you wouldn't say St Denis and if you did you'd lose

And Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands so that's not in the list either

Is that all of them?

Has Seville been mentioned?

Last one. I’ll let @Zico decide if it’s 12 or 14 ha

Just checked and they did play one at Bern, in the Wankedoff

I've just watched a few minutes of the FA Vase final and it just shows how far advanced the professional players are compared to this level of football

The grass on that Wembley pitch looks a bit long btw

I will go down midweek with my GTech lawnmower and give it a trim

Tbf the Vase is tier 9 so it wouldn’t be surprising

Think this is the best place to put this but walking through town today and I passed Wyn Davies. Wished I’d stopped to say hello but the moment passed. (It’s not the first time) Maybe next time.

It’s not often that, in a normal walk into town, you share a brief moment of space with a football legend.

I’m sure I read somewhere that he couldn’t speak English when he first signed for us.

Jesus, that's a new one on me.

Everyday's a school day.

I'm in a pub watching but how the hell was Forest's goal not offside there?
