January 25Jan 25 Really hope Arsenal fuck this up just for that silly slag they get on talksport. Proper super Sunday that. Pub was rammed.
January 25Jan 25 That Guehi signing could be huge for city Would be my favourites now No doubt in my mind arsenal / arteta haven't got the bottle for it down the home straight

Poor result and performance for Arsenal without a doubt. Two things to keep in mind. One squad has been at home with its feet up during the preceding week, the other had to travel to Italy (and win) in a Champions League blockbuster against last seasons losing finalists. The scum still basking in the glory of a derby day victory and its related new manager 'bounce'. Don't be surprised if it all 'readjusts' again over the next 2-3 weeks. Don't be writing Villa off either. Genius is Emery.
January 25Jan 25 If there's any positive to be taken in this result it's that it increases the likelihood of them making the same mistake they made with Solskjaer
January 25Jan 25 Carrick having Steve Holland as his no2 looks like a canny move, adding some calm tactical nouse and high level experience. Good set up. Players look freed up, together and clear about what they're doing. Won't take much for them to end up in top 4 in this league

January 26Jan 26 Someone has to win it though and City look crap (by their standards) as well. One of Arteta and Pep will win it and go down as a legend etc etc having spent £20 billion or whatever and stumbled over the line either with Haaland bulldozing his way to goals or by bullying at set pieces. Not a classic title race. Villa are great to watch BTW and United are currently more entertaining too, but the top 2 are a turn off. As for Liverpool - I couldn't watch Van Dyke standing around posing every week, he makes Santos look dynamic.
January 26Jan 26 Haaland bulldozing? I reckon you have a downer on strikers. Penalties don't count, and now the manner of the goal has to be taken into account. The bloke is a finishing machine!
January 26Jan 26 Fans singing sideways and backwards seems to have caught on as a trend recently, heard of 3 or 4 different sets of fans at it this week. We pioneered that 😀

I didn't mean to downplay his ability although I get it might have come across that way. I was trying to say that if you or me was the manager of Man City and somehow managed to persuade Haaland to sign for us (maybe having a bit of money would help), we'd have half a chance of winning the league. Give it to him and he'll do the rest. And I know its not that simple, they've got other class players, but it doesn't take a tactical genius that they all laud Pep for, to beat Wolves 2-0 or Fulham 2-1, when you've got a goal machine/physical specimen like him up front. And no I don't count penalties personally. If someone said we were signing a 20 goal striker tomorrow, we'd all be buzzing. You honestly think we'd be buzzing if 15 of them had been penalties given that we only get about 2 a season? Just my opinion but pens aren't evidence of a true goalscorer, when about 90% of them are scored at all levels of the game and some pen shoot outs show that its not just strikers that have the ability to take them.
