Too much invested, the media love it as it creates headlines and drives traffic to watch the controversy over and over again. They can create hours of content dissecting each decision etc. as seen in the past week both major UK title races influenced by VAR all generating masses of content.

Even I’ll admit it was ridiculous that play continued for a good while after the goalkeeper handball in the Edinburgh derby the other week when really it should have been spotted real time Wife was sat directly behind the VAR monitor on the halfway line that day so could lip read the referee speaking to the actual VAR official and said it was just ridiculous how lengthy a conversation it was for what should have been “has the keeper handled it outside of the area”
May 14May 14 VAR worked really well in the World Cup in Russia but then they had to go and fuck around with it to "make it better" . I hate it . All people really wanted was "was the ball over the line" , not this monstrosity.

May 14May 14 Zoomed in on your camera angle and is that hitting his arm or his head and pulling a bit of sleeve? Or maybe not even hitting his sleeve. Pure guesswork for something that's supposed to be used for clear and obvious
May 14May 14 "Clear and obvious" ... which it isn't. ANY decision that takes more than 20, certainly 30, seconds is not 'clear or fckg obvious' & the on-field decision should be held to. Edited May 16May 16 by Dr. Feelgood
May 14May 14 Haven't seen the incident so difficult to comment. A single, grainy image hardly represents the complete picture though, and if that's the level of investigation required to confirm one way or another, then it wasn't clear and obvious. Hope Hearts do em next up.
