May 13May 13 Just me or is there something a bit weird about singing “Wembley again, ole ole” when you got beat there first time around. Players jumping around on the pitch singing it - hardly a happy hunting ground.
May 13May 13 La liga Relegation battle could maybe go up to 8th currently (not checked the fixtures as I'm sure some will be playing each other which means not all of them can go down)

May 13May 13 Massive goal that stays a draw & Celtic needed to win by 3 or 4. Now it’s just a win. Looked a pen with his hand jumping towards the ball, but they’re never given without VAR. Gutted but I just can’t see Hearts doing it. Momentum with Celtic now. The consolation in it all is Rangers have crumbled yet again . Incredible drama. Much more enjoyable than the PL is currently.

May 13May 13 Popular Post Making league deciding decisions based on a single camera angle zoomed in & pixelated to fuck. Absolutely farcical. It may have hit his hand, but there's absolutely no way you can be certain based on that video. And so to effectively award the win to Celtic is abysmal.

There is no way the ball flies away in the opposite direction like that from bouncing against a blokes hand. A clear, decisive defensive header. They have all the money up there these days. They are clearly using it.

May 14May 14 Popular Post Var is killing the game you can’t even celebrate until they have checked the goal is ridiculous
May 14May 14 Popular Post 30 minutes ago, Rizlar said: Var is killing the game you can’t even celebrate until they have checked the goal is ridiculous This is and has always been my biggest issue with it. The problems with whether clear or obvious etc. and mistakes being made are obviously bad and reflect poorly on it, but football is what it is because of that moment of euphoria when a goal goes in - an instantaneous feeling that cannot be replicated. The result, seeing where you are in the league through the week and everything else that goes with it is interesting but it’s that goal celebration that means it’s the most loved sport all around the world. VAR takes that away, it’s a cautious initial reaction with the doubt in your mind or a delayed celebration of some words on a screen - neither of which have anywhere near the same euphoria attached. Anyone that understands the game properly from a supporters point of view should have realised that and stopped any further discussions once it got raised. It can be improved all they want, it can be 100% accurate (it actually can’t but for sake of argument) but it will always have that fundamental flaw.

Even if it does hit his hand, it does not make his body shape any bigger and therefore shouldn't be awarded under the current rules, according to a part-time ref who's just been on TS.

I think he's mistaken, unless the rules have changed again. Hand or arm above shoulder height is handball. https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/updates-to-laws-of-the-game-2019-20/ It's pretty hard to argue that a hand on or just above your head wouldn't make your body shape bigger anyway. Unless you're trying to wind up Peter Shilton.
