I remember going to Wigan on the second Boxing Day fixture between us two. Must be Year 84/85.

A few van loads met in town, then went up to Horwich to meet a decent few of their "casuals" who assembled in a fleet of cars, vans and a bloody hearse of all things......

Parked up in their centre, give them a kicking before, during and after.......as always in those days......after the game a certain chap launched a thunder flash in their direction, Christ almighty, that was one loud bang.

Our original crew then went to the Blackburn and Leeds match which kicked off later at Ewood.

Those inbreds were very confused when our tidy mob strolled into their end behind the nets.....

Happy days.

If you aren't watching Gooners v Palace, get it on just to see Geroud's goal.

Wenger out. Time for a change.

Sof arses don't know they're born with the footy they have watched over the last 20 years

To continue with the Who Are Ya trivia........

I was born on the wrong side of the Pennines for my sins, then even worse, went on to sign for the Red team in Manchester.

Thankfully, I didn't make the full team at that shithole in Stretford and went back over the Pennines to play as a Terrier for a few years, chalking up a couple of hundred appearances for them before joining the mighty Bolton Wanderers where I stayed for a few seasons with a spell in between at the rather sharp side in Sheffield............

Not much of a career really for nigh on 300 appearances, but I'm still alive and kicking ...but not a ball nor bucket just now.....

So......ye Burnden Park faithful,........who am I ?

Just a thought; after a full fixture yesterday apart from a couple of Sky games played today, the deadline for the five bookings ban ended yesterday so, anyone who was on 4 bookings going into yesterdays games were walking a tightrope. Not so the players in today's games. (Not sure what the rule is but know that anyone booked for 5th time today wouldn't suffer a ban)

Doesn't that give the players of Spurs, Watford, Arsenal and Palace an advantage?

Think I know, I'll not give it away so early, I did google to confirm who I thought it was, pretty convinced....

Giroud vs Mkhitaryan? Giroud's for me was like a super upgraded version and also wasn't offside. if something beats it to goal of the season it's going to have to be something crazy special

i can appreciate that goal

But

See for me it's a lucky reflex flick of his leg

Yeah it looks spectacular and of course there's skill in he timing and connection but nothing was pre-determined; a great move or dribble past a few players is always superior for me personally

I don't get the pundits trying to compare the two with a view to deciding which was the best one. One of them was offside and therefore didn't add to the scoreline. The other was onside and did add to the scoreline. What the hell is there to debate?

You mean aside from it taking the score from 2-0 to 3-0?

I didn't see the game. I'm reacting to today's pundits' comparisons during which they said that the United one was offside. I assumed they meant it was offside.

Aye bergkamps v Newcastle is my favourite ever goal.

Never tire of watching it. Fucking sublime

Micheal Owens v argies and more so the one v Arsenal in the cup final are amazing. That's my type of goal. Pleasure to see.

I've just watched both of the giroud and mkhitaryan goals. Both shit.

Either poor positioning from the player or a shit cross.

Give me a 94th minute deflection any day of the week.

It was.

But it wasn't.

United, remember.

They had a decent goal from Zlatan ruled out vs Boro, he always goes for that karate kick style strike, pulled it off and ref said it was dangerous play, keeper wasn't close enough.

My fave type of goals are team goals, this goal by Giroud was a great move , great build up from their own box.

surely he only had to do that finish because it was a poor ball behind him?

Yeah the cross wasn't the best and even Sanchez can't say he put it there so that type of goal would happen, but I liked the quick counter attack that led to the goal, quick and had a fancy backheel from Giroud in midfield too.

Not near our team goal vs Blackpool though

I wouldn't say it was better than Elmander's vs Wolves either or last years winner from Alli.

Fair enough and totally agree not a patch on them
