Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Eidur against Wimbledon was a bit special. A similar goal to Elmander's. Quote
stek1961 Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Mike Carter scored a wonder goal against Spurs I think, in the Embankment End, must have beat 10 men, even the ref was applauding on the way back to the centre circle, never forgot it. Quote

Biggish Dave Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 A couple I enjoy watching are Sinclair's goal for QPR v Barnsley, overhead kick and Van Basten volley in 1988 European championship final Quote
MancWanderer Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 I'm with gonzo on the Owen goals. Similarly THAT Giggs goal in the FA cup semi against Arsenal Might dislike the teams/players but it's the sheer thrill of a player running with the ball at his feet, beating a few defenders and slotting it Quote

Marc505 Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 I like goals that are talked about years later as "doing a..." Any shot in off the bar is doing a Yeboah, love a goal violently in off the woodwork. By no means a wonder goal, but always liked that Anderton one v Sweden at Elland Road that went properly in off both posts too. Quote

Con Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 https://www.youtube.com/shared?ci=5sVFpcggT_4 Tony Yeboah was an absolute master at proper twatting a football. Every time i see his goals it always reminds me of this Partridge commentary. Quote
Carlos Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 I saw Yeboah play, he offered very little else but could twat a ball. Has anyone mentioned David Platt? What teckers. Quote
